Fantastic straighteners Advantages: Cordless! Great results Disadvantages: Can sometimes take a while to heat up When I was given these straighteners for Christmas 2006 at first I was really disappointed. I wanted ghds! However, after a while I discovered that these were as good as ghds, better in some ways even. The cordless straighteners come in two parts, the base, with a pug and long lead and the actual straighteners. They are black and nice looking. In order to work them you have to plug them into the mains and turn the switch on at the base, the straighteners ... ...actual straighteners there is a switch with two different heat settings. As my hair is think I usually use the hotter of the two. They heat up rather quickly, although as time goes on I have noticed that they tend to take slightly longer to heat up but this is not a problem. The fact that they are cordless makes them really easy to use, you can walk around using them and means that you no longer have to stretch the lead across the room in order ... they rawk! - pink straighteners! Advantages: hot pink! Disadvantages: not cordless, no temperature control Well... they're are pink and have pearl coloured plates... and straighten hair really well! I have springy curly hair and i can straighten my hair perfectley with these and the good thing is once youve straightened it, it stays straight for ages! These straighteneers also go to high temperature of 200 degrees centigrade and make it easy to straighten... they have a salon lenght 3 metre cable... but would be better cordless it has to be said. They ... ...when they're on but not at temprature and just shiones when they are at full temperature... however, these straighteners cannot be used at any other temperature than full temperature because there is no temperature control. Also, with these straighteners comes a free bag to put them in... an 4 sectioning clips which help while using the straighteners. Easy to use - great results Advantages: Heats up quickly, different settings Disadvantages: Mains reliant A highly recommended purchase if you can get it for a good price. Heats up very quickly and straightens hair easily. Adjustable heat settings make this the ideal solution if you have hair that doesn't straighten unless on the highest heat, but also doesn't frazzle more delicate hair that needs a lower temperature. I personally prefer that this item is mains powered, means I don't have to worry about failing batteries, and I think mains powered straighteners ... ...good quality heat protection spray with any straightener, but this can be used easily (particularly on a lower setting) without this additional purchase. Remember straigheners can be used to curl hair by wrapping hair around the shaft. With a curved edge, this product is idea for this alternative. Fantastically quick beautifully straight hair Advantages: relatively cheap and they work.......fast! Disadvantages: starting to get a bit dirty now I bought these nearly a year ago now after previously owning a pair of remington straighteners that were a bit past it! The reason behind the change was actually due to an offer and I ended up getting them for half price. They have saved me an unbelievable amount of time. I have quite long and to be honest, quite straight hair. However, first thing in the morning it has a habit of looking dreadful and no where near as straight as I would like. These ... ...them on when I'm putting my mascara on) and get very very hot. There are two heat settings, although I tend to opt for the highest (not sure much good this does my hair!) I also use Lee Stafford hair straightening protection spray, which is great and smells gorgeous! :-) Together they provide me with really well straightened hair which looks about a million times better than when I crawled out of bed! Morphy Richards, Mark Hill Straightners Advantages: Great value for money Disadvantages: Ceramic plates have started to burn I bought these straighters not long ago, and they are brilliant!! I couldn't decide whether to get these or the infamous GHDs, so when I was recommended these by a friend I thought I would buy them. They were excellent value for money, at a meager £89 compared to some varieties of GHDs. I think that these work alot better than them and my hair is perfectly straight after using them.
