I purchased this a few months ago and it's proven very efficient. There is one thing i noticed right from the first day though - when used, the joint makes a sqeaking noise, a "feature" i quickly got used to though. I've also found that the two plates aren't perfectly lined up against eachother, so you have to squeeze them together a bit, which becomes tiring after a while. The cord is long enough for me to plug it in my room and go all the way ...
...though you might find it encumbering if you plan on travelling a lot. You choose the temperature, which is my favourite feature, because my hair is already a bit straight, so I can set a smaller temperature and not damage my hair too much. ...I purchased a set of Vidal Sassoon VS880 hair straighteners from the salon for £24.99 to keep my hair looking like it had just been styled. I had no reservations making the purchase as my stylist had used the same make and model when it was originally styled and having heard bad things about the unreliability of GHD hair straighteners I happily left thinking I had a bargain. ...I would not recommend the Vidal Sassoon VS880 at all. They look fantastic but are completely useless. It is a sad indictment that an iron and ironing board can produce results that by far exceed a specialist product in a shorter space of time and with a lot less hassle. I brought this product about a year ago, and i still have it, and it works perfectly well. It heats up pretty quickly, and it gets really hot, which is good, especially if you have really mad hair like i do! One thing i did notice, is that if you have really unmanagable hair like i do, sometimes it catches on the straightners a little bit, but thats not a major issue! ...off with wide plated hair straightners. My hair comes out silkly soft everytime i use these, and the plates havent started to go bad yet, so i guess thats a good sign too! Well what can i say about this straightener? It cost £14.99 from argos. My good points for this straightener are: The packaging is good. The design of the straightener is ok,it has ridged plates on the top and bottom. The straightener comes in a box with instructions in.
