I've had a web saver for two years and had no probs until six weeks ago. Since then I've been unable to make online payments or transfer funds out of my websaver account. To pay my VISA bill involves lengthy phone calls to customer services. Repeated e-mails have resulted in a problem number, references to Systems development but no action. Is this an isolated problem or are other savers having similar problems? I can look at my money but can't touch it!
Web saver is advertised as "an award winning account" and promises to make money transfers and bill payments quick and easy without hassle. As the only access to this account is via online, when it fails you are completely stuck.
I'm sick of seeing Howard smiling at me and not releasing MY money!

Hi with regards to your account, you need to have another account that you can transfer money to online, e.g. an Instant Access Saver account or a current account. You can then transfer funds into the instant access account and then out to any organisaiton you want to. Hope this helps. I have had a web saver for years and it works fine like this plus yuo get the benefit of the much better interest rates.

Advantages: Plenty of articles, has some messageboards, excellant quotes facilities Disadvantages: They've just ditched their Shares portfolio service, which was light years better than any similar service on the 'net
