Having impaired credit due to a disiaster in my husbands business. Life has been very bleak what with nobody wanting your business even after you have corrected the rpoblems and repaid your debt. The halifax through the birmingham midshire partnership though has come through tops as all other high street banks basically said f--- off.The only fault I have is that instead of a remortgage taking 6 weeks it took 4 months. Thankfully it is now completed, and hopefully all being well in a few years I should be able to transfer my mortgage to the mainstream Halifax. All in all they have given me the benfit of the doubt though and this shopuld be the start of my credit history correcting itself perfectly. The only fault I have is that I had to ring them to see how it was progressing every step of the way. I was not keep fully informed

Glad to hear things are looking up. A little more details about the branch you dealt with, customer service, issues that needed attention to obtain your mortage so that people in similar situations can be able to speed through the process etc.
