XRackPro2 is a rackmount enclosure cabinet specifically designed for noise reduction and mobility. Rackmount computer servers and RAID storage become whisper quiet in this rolling rack mount system. Solidly built and providing 12U of industry standard 19" (48.2 cm) wide rackmount cabinet space, the second generation XRackPro2 is an ideal server rack and computer cabinet for Apple (Xserve server and Xserve RAID), Windows, Linux and other PC computer rack mount servers.
Advantages: So small!!! Disadvantages: Small screen resolution, slow and breaks easily
...I bought my libretto a few days ago, its so cute and tiny!!
Then the PCMCIA socket fell off the motherboard, which was annoying..Anyway, that was fixed by getting an external port replicator so I can carry on using PCMCIA.
Toshiba Libretto's are some of the coolest laptops around. They're not that powerful now but the size makes them amazingly cool!
It has a 120MHZ Pentium CPU with MMX, so its perfectly capable of browsing the internet, email, MSN'ing and using Microsoft Office. Mine only has 16mb ram, which can be a problem however it is upgradable to 32mb which isn't as bad but still, it isn't much.
The battery life is good, mine has a reasonably old low capacity version of the libretto battery and it worked for an hour and a bit running a wireless card.
The only real problems are the small screen resolution, but I believe...

Advantages: Cheap, can be used in old 16-bit PCMCIA slots, stable drivers. Disadvantages: cord easily lost.
...An old but still useful PCMCIA modem card that should fit every laptop or computer fitted with a PCMCIA slot, not just the later 32-bit 'cardbus' variety. It comes with drivers and a flash facility that allows firmware upgrade, letting you configure it as V90, flex, or with the additional lead packs GSM for use with mobile phones, and IDSN. It's not up to date or sexy, but it works.
The cord supplied seems to be robust, and the connection to the card isn't too fiddly. I've had two of these cards and they performed well for a few years, before one stopped being recognised by the laptop. The other still soldiers on when I go camping.
These can now be picked up from ebay for a few pounds. If you're still on dial-up, or fancy roaming with your mobile, it's worth a look....

Advantages: No dongles to loose or break, quality, speed Disadvantages: Takes up both PCMCIA slots
...For some unkown reason, Compaq decided that they wouldn't put a network socket on my laptop - who is going to need to connect their laptop to a network eh? Obviously no one at Compaq, but for the rest of us we all do! Fortunatly my laptop has 2 PCMCIA slots that I hardly use so a PCMCIA network adapter would be ideal. The problem with these though are the fact that many of them have bits sticking out, or a dongle, or both. This would have been an absolute pain when lugging the laptop to and from Uni as I'd either loose the dongle, or break it, or the bit sticking out would get stuck everywhere and so on. Luckily I discovered the RealPort range of PCMCIAadapters from Xircom. The main advantage to these is that they have a full sized standard network socket on the adapter so there are no bits sticking out, no extra wires and so...

This card is fantastic. The range of reception is the best I've found for my laptop at home and college.
I've grabbed speed in excess of 54Mbps in places where my friends can get only 100kbps.
The only problem for me is that my colleges netwrok is... more
