When taking pictures at slow shutter speeds I always had the problem of a blurred image caused by me pressing the shutter release on my camera. This seemed like a really good solution as it will not move the camera.
Who is it For? ############
This is for users of SLR camera for the following models:
If you don't see your model listed above, then it will not fit your camera and will not work.
In terms of uses; people can use this who do long exposures - like nighttime photography, and also will be good for portrait photographers where you want to entertain the subject (a baby) and just press the shutter release when you have them smiling!
The Unit #######
I purchased this unit on sale for £9.99.
This is easily connected to your SLR Camera at the side (or somewhere else depending on what camera you have). The shutter release remote is a good size which fits comfortably in your hand.
It has a two stage shutter release. I always have my camera on autofocus- like when you press the release button half way to focus - this can do the same. So two stage will be focus, and then release. I found this really useful - ive never had the chance of doing this before with remote releases.
Those of you, who do long term exposures, know what the "bulb" setting means. Those of you who don't know; it means you can keep the shutters open for any length of time you want. On this remote there is a special button where you just release the shutter and when you want the shutters to close again...you just press the button again. This is really useful - you don't need to mess around with your camera, you have everything you need in this remote.
The length of the cable is 80 cms - I thought this is a really generous length; you wouldn't need anymore than this.
Conclusion ##########
This unit is really useful - no need to worry about blurred images. This has everything you want; long term bulb exposures, two stage release button - again no need to touch your camera and focus before shooting.
It's a really good looking piece of kit - in black it goes with my camera really well.
