Four years ago my eldest daughter came back from a dinner date with a school friend of hers clutching a pretty heart shape made from little beads that were stuck together. She was really taken with this new craze & talked to me for what seemed like hours about these little plastic beads & what you can do with them.

I previously carried a small USB key on my keyring as my portable memory solution. But I found that more and more, I was having to transfer information from either a PDA or digital camera, and a USB key just didn't work for this.
So I found the solution in the SanDisk SD Plus memorycard - it is the size of a normal SD memorycard, but also folds in half to reveal a USB adapter which can be plugged into any USB port. Brilliant solution, except that they aren't very sturdy. I was worried about the card breaking in my wallet, so I needed something to protect it.

As many of you probably know I suddenly had to buy a couple of USB flash drives to save my pictures on due to my laptop 'playing up'. Not only that, there was also another reason why it was important for me to get this extra storage space so soon especially after my friend telling me how important it was to have them stored somewhere other than just my laptop This is because I have recently bought a new camera for our forthcoming trip to Florida early next year which I wanted to have a little early so that I could also take it on my upcoming work trip to Paris. With the new camera I needed to purchase a few bits to go with it including a gorgeous pink case and more importantly a new memorycard and card reader.
