No kitchen is complete with out one!
Review of Kenwood HM226 by
lulet99
Advantages: Does the hard work for you.
Disadvantages: You need a handy plug socket.
This hand mixer saves a lot of elbow grease when baking. It is great for mixing ingredients for cakes and for whipping cream and also does an excellent job of whisking egg whites to make meringue. It has a shiny "stainless steel look" finish, with some black detail. This mixer looks quite nice in your kitchen if you have to leave it out on display although It can tend to look a little gruby from time to time as greasy finger prints stand out on it, ... ...to hold, it feels good and sturdy, but it is a little heavy, so probably would not be very suitable for young children to use.
The mixer paddles click securely into the handle and are released by pressing a button so they can be dropped straight into the washing up bowl without getting sticky fingers! It has three different speed settings, this is useful so that you have more control. The slow speed is great for mixing things that you are worried ...

Hee Haw
Review of Kenwood HM320 by
Nar
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: none
Hello and welcome to the review that should have been here. It was here but its not here now as I have taken it and put it into my private stash somewhere else. It may well appear somewhere else online and if it does it will have my name on it. Thank you to everyone, to all the people in my COT over the years who have stuck by me and who have been great influences over the reviews I have written. It is indeed a sad case that reviewers have to come ... ...sense at all when the original content should be listed and frankly because of endless problems with Ciao I no longer have the time and energy to carry on. Each time I tried, it didn't work. Each message I sent to other members, they didn't appear. Each rate I applied, it didn't show. So that's the end of it. Ty for reading. ...

Versatile and Durable - A Solid Mid-Range Mixer
Review of Breville SHM2 by
GMacleod
Advantages: Durability, Versatility, Price
Disadvantages: Size - A Tall Appliance that is Difficult to Store in a London Kitchen
My husband and I received this mixer as a wedding gift, and we are very pleased with it. Noting the price above, we consider it to be good value for money, and the versatility of having the mixer removable from the base is a great advantage over single-unit mixers. We also liked that it comes with three sets of beaters (standard, dough hook and whisk). Features include a variable speed bowl spin, variable speed beating, and tilt of the mixer itself. ... ...very tall appliance, and if you have limited counter space or low cabinets, you may find storage to be a problem. Accompanying the appliance and beaters are a spatula, and a user manual containing the standard information on how to care for the mixer, and recipes. We've now used it for a wide range of recipes, and it has never disappointed. ...

A handy bouncing hand mixer
Review of Dualit 88405 Black HAND Mixer / SOFT Touch by
Miskah
Advantages: Powerful, lightweight, easy to use, fees great and convenient to store.
Disadvantages: doesn't have a stand or bowl
I’ve owned this Dualit hand mixer for quite a bit. It may not be the most expensive or have the most attachments but it does what I need and has a couple of neat tricks. I have this neat black one but Dualit offer several other colours including chrome, ice blue, cream and red
For those who don’t know much about Dualit they are a British company who make catering products for both the domestic and commercial markets. There products aren’t cheap ... ...the Friday afternoon rush.
Dualit Hand Mixer- Soft Touch- Black
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Dualit 88405 is a very good looking machine in my opinion, this model is finished in a rubberised matt black and has Dualit embossed on the front and sides. The handle is well designed so is extremely comfortable to hold. The soft touch matt finish feels lovely and doesn’t encourage sweating of the palms so your grip remains good no matter how ...
Me & My Mixer
Review of Sabichi 83906 by
JunePixie
Advantages: Fluffy and tasty homemade stuff
Disadvantages: Minor niggles on speed of beaters
...therefore when I saw the Sabichi priced at £7.99 in my local Wilkinson’s store I couldn’t say no. I’ve had this little gem around 2 months now and can honestly confess to loving it.
For a mere £7.99 you get what is pretty standard for most mixers of this specification;
5 speed settings and a turbo button which whizzes your ingredients around at an amazingly high speed, however don’t be tempted to start on a high speed or you’ll see your carefully ... ...chrome is nice but the Sabichi has the classic white plastic look that works well with my kitchen, plus the fact I always store my mixer in the cupboard and I never have an audience when baking so the colour or material is irrelevant to my needs.
To clean the mixer is straightforward, just eject the beaters, I tend to do this into the sink, then give the mixer a quick wipe down with a damp cloth to get rid of any mixture which may have splashed ...
