I've had my Treo 600 for about 5 months now, obtained direct from Orange to upgrade my Siemens SL55. So, i've gone from one of the smallest handsets on the market to what is probably one of the largest. Why you may be asking, well... I was due an upgrade and had been thinking of buying a PDA for a while so the Treo appeared to kill two birds with one stone. I contacted Orange and paid £99 upgrade fee and my Treo arrived a few days later. First impressions were, 'wow this is a lump' and 'jeez, i'll never get the hang of this'. I did keep hold of my SL55 for a week or two just in case but soon got to grips with the Treo. Now the size doesn't bother me at all. I find the full qwerty keyboard to be easy to use and the 5-way scroll button is ideal for access to the many functions of the thing. Being basically a Palm PDA the are loads of applications available for the Treo including games, MP3 players, picture viewers and many many more. On registering with Treo you can download a free copy of the pTunes music player which together with the provided memory card allows you to carry a few favourite songs with you. Sound from the built in speaker is quite good considering it's size and the fact that it is situated on the back of the phone! Signal quality and reception are excellent, battery life is very good for a device of this type, often going 4 or 5 days between charges. Also being a PDA the number of contacts it will hold is amazing and you can inclue all the details you would want, address, home/work/mobile numbers, email address, oh yes the Treo will send those too and view full web pages not just WAP sites. Turning off the images on websites will speed the downloads though. I personally don't really make use of the inbuilt camera but it's there if you want it. All things considered I am very pleased with my Treo and would not consider going back to a 'normal' phone.
