I had previously owned two months ago a nineteen inch Clear Resolution Technology screen which caused me some eye strain and wanted to upgrade to a more modern Liquid Crystal Display screen.

From a quality standard point of view, they meet the required technology Product standard's. The companies global business brand Customer's include sony, samsung, and many more too mention here. So far so good.
The Product
The nineteen inch screen came with a stand base which holds the monitor off the desk surface. The screen can be adjusted and moved easily left and right. This feature is really basic, there were no extras in terms of extra Universal Serial Bus port's.
Performance details
The monitor has a five milli second refresh rate. Nowadays most modern and much more expensive will have a slightly faster two milli second refresh rate. Picture quality. I have found no dead pixels on the monitor so far. The contrast ratio is a not so strong feature with this model as the brightness of the black fonts and colours is really not rich as I would have liked. From my zoom and eye view it really does work well for me based on the appearance of the Display. The main background colours are slightly brighter compared to my Clear Resolution Technology prouct. Having watched a dvd many times with this monitor I can honestly say that the viewing experience is really good as it displays authentic colours and genuine colour reproductions.
Advantages of hanns g w8180 monitor are that it is plug and play. No need to install anything apart from the initial Computer connection. I had to simply take the monitor out of the box and attach the Monitor to the base stand which was so straightforward. I then connected the monitor to the Power Supply and the Computer port's.
This Computer monitor saves so much Room and space that really do make the product a worthwhile purchase. My old Clear Resolution Technology used to take up a great deal of the desk space in my Computer Area. Now this problem is avoided by freeing up so much space.
Wide angle. By having a Wide Screen Monitor, has made it much more user friendly for myself to be able to surf online and to type letters and spreadsheets. By comparison to other smaller Totally Flat Technology and Clear Resolution Technology screen's, I have found that I dont have the problem of straining my eyes by having such a smaller and constrained focused view on the Monitor screen.
The cheap price is another factor, one hundred and ten Pounds including Tax and delivery from Amazon.co.uk. Amazon include a thirty Day return refund policy if not happy with the Product. I felt no need to return this at all.
The design of the speakers is really good as it is hidden within the silver bezel toward the bottom of the panel.
Combination of Analogue and digital dvi inputs so I would really believe that there is no short cuts in terms of quality standard's from this manufacturer. This certainly allows this Monitor to be included well and truly in the digital era.
Disadvantages Design
The design of the Tubing, overall finish is not so spectacular. Here I noticed at the bottom of the panel the finish is not totally straight in terms on a horizontal axis
The menu for changing the colours,is not very pretty as a way of changing the colours scheme, or the brightness etc. The user here would have to rotate the panel to adjust the settings, as the Menu buttons are located to the right hand side of the panel. It is a disadvantage as there is no extra Compact Disc or user management Tool's that can tweak the colour schemes using the Computer.
Comparison's with other branded monitor's
It puts to shame my old Clear Resolution Technology screen in terms of everything. I would also believe that having used a Video seven monitor and sony, which are more expensive brands at Internet cafe's there is little difference in quality with the Hanns model I am reviewing here. The design is fairly standard for a Totally Flat Technology screen the outer bezel is silver in colour, somewhat standard in appearance compared to higher priced model's.
Extra Information
Built in/Hidden Speakers. This is a truely great product selling point I found as I did not no longer require the external speakers that I have used previously. Though for loudness I would need to keep them. Sound at two times one watt's, is not much sound.
Warrranty. Here is another Area which really helped me make my decision. Most if not all will have a one or two year warranty, this Hanns monitor has a three year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty Card is written up in english, french, spanish, italian, polish, danish, hungarian, dutch, as well as scandanavian country instruction's. The warranty Card contains the companies United Kingdom repair center detail's.
Conclusion
In the medium future based on my experience I would happily pay this money for a reasonably good standard of Computer monitor. The price and performance strongly leads me perhaps to some long term loyalty with this Liquid Crystal Display brand. This model of monitor is far from the latest Technology using hi definition, Blu ray, and other higher specification for sound and audio. It also does not include a built in Webcam. Though at this low Price of one hundred and ten Pounds. I really can not find a major fault or something that would really put me off buying this.
Bottom Line
A low cost, no frills Wide Screen Computer Display Unit.
THE STORY
We moved house and when I unpacked my monitor it looked fine, when I plugged it in and set the computer up it didn't work properly. Googled the problem and the techguy came up with the answer when the symptoms were explained: it's ****ed.
Having spent so much time hassling BT to get the broadband set up, being without due to lack of monitor was going to be a big problem, so I set off in search of a cheap (I'd just moved house remember) ... ...kelkoo-ing came up with this baby for £89.99 plus vat at Misco. It's 19 inch widescreen, so was an improvement on the previous 17 inch and at under a hundred I thought "why not?"
ORDERING IT
Simple ordering on line from Misco who confirmed the order by email and telephone the same day and dispatched it the next. Being a cheap skate (even though I was desperate) I paid only for three day delivery, but it arrived on the right date and was well packaged ...

I have owned this monitor for about a year now and I am not disappointed in its performance. Indeed it would be safe to say it has never missed a beat. No dead pixels upon unpacking was a relief as you can never be sure when a display is this cheap. I thought they would have to scrimp in places to allow this specification for this price.
And indeed they have. But in a clever way as it shouldn't effect the user in any way. I speak of the inbuilt ... ...to the speakers I don't personally know of a user that uses their monitors speakers. Far better sound quality can be achieved with even the most basic set of speakers so just ignore this. As to the no DVI cable, then knowledge is power. Just buy one that fits your budget as prices vary enormously.
The monitor itself works just brilliantly for the price. On DVD playback there is no ghosting thanks to the 5ms response time. Game playing is also faultless ...

I got this monitor free with a computer package deal from RL Supplies. I paid £10 for one day delivery and it came right on time. The man I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and friendly, so I would definitely order from RLSupplies again.
Since the screen came as part of a package deal I can't really put a price on it, but I can however say it was very good value for money.
I mainly use my computer for websurfing, including games which can ... ...absolutely fine running these. The colours are vibrant, the edges are solid and easily defined, and the screen can easily keep up with whatever I happen to be running on it. This includes things like the visualiser on i-tunes.
The design is fairly simple. It has a silver frame around the screen on a basic black stand. The screen itself is only a few centimetres deep to it's quite space efficient. The stand however is about 15cm by 20, but at least ...

This is an excellent monitor in every way. I recieved this monitor recently as a gift, and the quality and clarity is outstanding.
This monitor has an excellent picture quality compared to any other similar monitor in this price bracket - the 700:1 contrast ratio means that it can display colours more clearly and have a better colour clarity, which allows for a much better picture quality overall. The 5ms response time is also very good for such ... ...turn on, and has all the buttons situated on the right hand side. There is a dedicated auto-adjust button, as well as a menu and volume buttons. These are unobtrusive but work well. The OSD also works very well for this monitor, and has all the functions that would be expected for a monitor like this.
This monitor is widescreen, and has a natural resolution of 1440x900, which is perfect for any application or film. DVDs look excellent on it, as ...

This monitor is great quality, and comes with a two year warranty. For those of you who are completely useless with configuring monitors, it has a little button you can press on the side which means it sorts itself out.
Its fantastic for watching movies and if you configure your screen resolution on your computer just right, you get a ridiculously large desktop which is great if you have a desktop cluttered with short cuts. It does come with a useless ... ...buy a monitor for its sound quality....
A large monitor obviously requires a large amount of room, from front to back it takes up about 7-8inches so make room!
It doesn't come with an DVI cable, (a cable which connects the monitor to the white port on your computer with loads of squares in it.) but if you don't have a DVI port you'll be fine! ...
