Hi, I'm a student living in the East Midlands area. I'm into reading (very) and an avid movie watcher, so much so I'm studying a degree in film. I'm currently writing my own book, so maybe one day it'll be reviewed on here. Be kind, yeah?

I got this monitor free with a computer package deal from RL Supplies. I paid £10 for one day delivery and it came right on time. The man I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and friendly, so I would definitely order from RLSupplies again.
Since the screen came as part of a package deal I can't really put a price on it, but I can however say it was very good value for money.
I mainly use my computer for websurfing, including games which can require quite high resolution and picture quality. The screen is absolutely fine running these. The colours are vibrant, the edges are solid and easily defined, and the screen can easily keep up with whatever I happen to be running on it. This includes things like the visualiser on i-tunes.
The design is fairly simple. It has a silver frame around the screen on a basic black stand. The screen itself is only a few centimetres deep to it's quite space efficient. The stand however is about 15cm by 20, but at least it's sturdy. The buttons for on-off and changing the resolution and so on are on the right hand side of the screen near the on-off LCD. There're easy to reach and see and have a nice gentle click so it's easy to know if you've presed it or not.
When you buy the screen is does require some assembling. There are reasonably good diagrams in the package and slotting the screen onto the stand was relatively easy once I had it the right way round. The screen itself is a bit heavy, which didn't help, but I'm only a skinny 5'3" so I doubt anyone would be completely unable to do it. The wires all go on the back and underside of the monitor. I had a small amount of confusion here as the diagram showed 4 cables and I only had 3. The missing cable is not necessary for the screen to work however, and nowhere did it say in the packaging that it was supposed to be there. I think the diagram was just showing the option was there and explaining away the extra port.
The screen comes with inbuilt speakers, which I am listening to as I write. The volume goes quite high, though not so high you'd have to raise your voice to be heard over it. The sound I'll admit is a tad tinny, especially on songs with a lot of drumming and heavy bass, but since I don't have to buy any extra speakers, and I already have a sound system I didn't really expect miracles.
The screen is viewable from all angles, and I can see it easily even with the sun shining on it (my pc is next to a window) so you won't have to make any irritating adjustments depending on the conditions.
Overall, a pretty good screen. I'm satisfied.

The screen costs around £70. No one should expect good sound from a monitor. This is only for people who don't play music or have limited space. It's just a little added extra to get you up and running. I'm not sure you can change the resolution with a button and you didn't mention max resolution in your review.
