That's right - It has both VGA and HDMI connection sockets.. Whether you want to hook it up to your PC (my graphics card has an HDMI port) or your DVD player you can do it with the increased clarity afforded by HDMI.

The monitor itself boasts ... ...a maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 there is ample of space on the desktop, and allows for a large display area. It features a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and an image brightness of 300cd/m2. Whilst the contrast ratio isn't the best out on the market, it is more than sufficient for most daily tasks (If you use its dynamic contrast then you can increase this to 2500:1, but I couldn't personally concern much of a difference). It features a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and an image brightness of 300cd/m2. Whilst the contrast ratio isn't the best out on the market, it is more than sufficient for most daily tasks (If you use its dynamic contrast then you can increase this to 2500:1, but I couldn't personally concern much of a difference). It suffers most in the playback of dark scenes in movies; but even then I having found my viewing pleasure disrupted at all - it is still more than capable of the job (just not perfect). It also has a super fast 2ms response time; excellent for gamers and those in need of such a fast response. It also features 2 x 2W speakers, which, while not providing a top of the range audio experience are useful if you want to save the desk space that would otherwise been taken up with by speakers.
***Controls***
It is very easy to adjust the settings of the monitor, with 4 discrete buttons on the bottom right of the monitor acting to exit, select, and move up and down. With these and the clearly labelled main menu it is simple to make your changes. There is an "Auto Image Adjust" (only if connected using VGA), "Contrast/Brightness", "Input Select" (so you can easily switch between VGA and HDMI; very useful if connected to say both your PC AND a DVD player), "Audio Adjust", "Colour Adjust", "Information" (This allows you to see a list of the settings currently in use), "Manual Image Adjust", Setup Menu" (with further options such as language and OSD settings), and Memory Recall".
***Looks***
I personally believe the Verona to be a very stylish monitor, with a sleek black finish (called by the manufacturer pure black piano mirror finish), it is mounted on an oval-shaped stand that provides a smooth tilt. It is perfectly balanced, and adds a somewhat graceful elegance to my desk!
