Very good, does its job well + 5 year warranty
Review of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB by AdamHonek

Advantages: Fast, many models available, 5 year warranty, NCQ, 16MB buffer, perpendicular recording
Disadvantages: None as I'm aware

...fashion. Seagate also provides a 5 year warranty whereas the competition doesn't. Seagate support is very good, they replaced one with a snapped SATA connector (physical damage) even though they claim do not replace units with mechanical damage. Overall you can't go wrong with this drive. ... Read review

Seagate is very good!
Review of FreeAgent Pro 320 GB by thewhitewolf

Advantages: very fast, great amount of space and cheap!
Disadvantages: none

This hard drive is VERY GOOD LOOKING, shiny black with yellow trim lines, a stable support platform and small to boot. I needed another external harddrive as my desktops space was almost gone from storing far too many games as you can imagine! I had the dreaded 'low on disk space' warning on my computer for a good while before i found a hard drive that i liked that offered my requirements in a stylish little black box. I already have two Western ...
...product from a good rival, Seagate. It has exceeded my expectations and will go onto my list of good manufacturers. Design Its presented in a big box, and I was very relieved (and also surprised) to see how small it actually is! It fails to take up much space on your desk or on top of your pc tower. Its a miniscule weight too which means i can hold it in one palm quite easily. The black enclosure case is highly attractive, especially with those ... Read review

Best 7200.10 hard drive but still not perfect
Review of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320 GB by neo1983

Advantages: Fast except multithread read, good capacity, stable, 5 years warranty
Disadvantages: Weak at multithread/multiple reads, a little noisy

...The good things of Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 Seagate hdd are the most stables drives in the market, I've used my drive for quite a time and never experienced a single problem. Large capacity, 320 GB is more than enough (300 Gb real) Good speed, especially at writing data, but also at reading excepting multiple file copy. Speed is about 75-80 Mb at large files The access time is about 13-14ms (about the same as other hdd) Temperature IS OK. ... Read review

Advantages: Easy, affordable
Disadvantages: None

...and broken. As Maxtor is using USB port the data transfer speed is quite good. Its just like when we are copying and pasting data from one folder to another, its really like that easy. I have purchased it in December 2006 in after christmas sales from PC World in nearly £80 and since then I am using it constantly without any problem. It is used like my regualr hard disk attached with my computer. Its good for everyone, either an IT professional with ... Read review
