I personally bought this drive as I am a gamer and as fellow gamers know the faster the better. My previous drive was a 7200rpm and boy did I notice the difference in speed once I started using the raptor. Faster access to my programs and files, quicker boot-up. Brilliant hard drive. Granted its not the biggest, but I've used this one for about 2 years now, the speed is unbeliveable. I don't know much about the installation process as I didn't do it, but I can tell you it didn't take the guy long to get it all running properly.
