Started off very well. Plug and play as promised, via USB. Very easy to use, quick access : very simple to create folders and upload all those things you want to backup (you do keep backups, don't you?!). ...and broken. As Maxtor is using USB port the data transfer speed is quite good. Its just like when we are copying and pasting data from one folder to another, its really like that easy. ...I liked this one. The Maxtor Basics 3200. The drive is in a nice plastic case with a rather flimsy foot to hold it upright. You get the drive, the foot, a transformer and cables, a USB cable and a quick guide in the box. With some you have to buy the drive and a separate case and install the drive in the case yourself. No need here as it is already done. The drive is compatible with USB 2 and 1.1, which is useful as I do not have USB 2 fitted yet. ...
