i have 2 of these hdd in my box at the moment and am very happy with them lets go into a little more detail the drive is a 3 1/2" form factor drive which will fit into 99% of pcs the ease of instalation is realy dependant upon the case its going in but in a quality case you could install one of these in less that 2 minuits. the capacity of the drive is aproximatly 80 gb a real gig is 1024 , drive manufactures discovered that making a gig 1000 meg ...

Advantages: very good value for money, under 35p per GB
Disadvantages: need a SATA connector on motherboard and cables

this hard drive is very inexpensive for its size, its also very quiet. if your looking for an easy to install and cheap way of storing masses of data then this is the hard drive for you. the drive is very reliable and i have yet to experience a problem with it 6 months later. it can run practically non stop as well and shows no sign of performance loss. i have left it running for around 75% of the time i have had it. you do need a SATA slot on ... Maxtor Maxline III 250GB, Outstanding HDD

Advantages: 5 year warranty, further testing to insure quality, low sound, fast, can be put in Raid

...I have also previously owned Maxtor HDD's and they have been brilliant. I came across the Maxline III range as they offer an extended guarantee (5 years) and have been tested more thoroughly. This gave me some security in thinking these HDD's would be stable and would not crash etc. Well since i bought them over a year ago I have had no faults or complaints with them at all. ...is about 20mins from start to finish. Boot times are also much quicker than they used to be which is a plus. The noise emissions from my old HDD were quite noticeable but these HDD's are very quiet, you have to be close to the case to even hear them.
