I would not recommend the HL stocks and shares ISA. Any communication I had with HL they seemed to be disinterested. They seem to forget that from small acorns large trees oak trees grow. In one communication by phone their representative implied that taking out a standard ISA was outside the products that may yeild a higher return - it was difficult to get this information direct from HL. My initial investment has fallen by approimately 6% and I am at this point considering withdrawing my investment. You will receive a lot of junk mail from them telling you how good the product is but the reality is somewhat different. When telephoning them you will receive the right information only when you work out the right question to ask, they are not too forthcoming in giving you information that may improve your investment prospects.
