Advantages Has detatchable bags & screen for touring
Disadvantages Screen not easy to see through when raining
I have on loan a Dyna T-sport at the moment the “T” stands for touring. This in effect means there are detatchable saddlebags and screen. The saddlebags look stylish but are not on the loan bike at the moment so how much they hold I'm not sure. The screen looks ok and is colour coded to the bike (bright purple in this case) and the actual screen is tinted, which while looks better than a clear one proved very unpractical in the rain and as it is quite low I found myself looking over or around it to see pot-holes etc. that our wonderfull British roads are full off. Also the screen caused air to blast up into my face and cause more turbulance than not having a screen at all. The bike also has a new factory fitted alarm, its a nightmare It took me ten minutes in the rain this morning to get the imoboliser to turn off as every time I turned on the ignition and pressed the alarm to make it flash twice nothing seemed to happen. The only other gripe with this bike is the position if the ignition switch which is behind the battery towards the back of the seat, not a very practical place to turn on and off. Brakes on this bike work quite well with twin disks on the front. Suspension is also quite good and is fully adjustable front and back. The engine is a Twin Cam 1450cc and goes well and cruised quite nicely at 70+ on the motorway. The engine is black wrinkle finish, that although it does not look as impresssive as the chrome versions on other harleys, it is probally a lot more practical if you use the bike in this weather as the bike looks like its been scrambling at the moment. Over all I have been quite impressed with the bike I don't think its the one I would buy.
