Okay, life changes - and right now, it is DOWNRIGHT HARD!! But, there is light at the end of the tunnel - just hope it isn't a freight train - do you hear that whistle?

May I tell you a little story?
Once upon a time, oh about a year and a half ago, ok, October 11, 2003, there was this girl. She had had some hard times, and was just getting back on her feet. Unfortunately the only way she could get anywhere was on foot, or on a bicycle.
One day she became extremely frustrated with her telephone and decided to ride over to Walmart (mind you, I live in the US.) It was about 8 pm at night, and a nice night, rather warm and balmy. So, this girl was riding her bike, about 6 miles, to the nearest Walmart. She rode past a man on a harley, and being the nice, sociable person she is, she waved, and kept on going. Well, the man on the motorcycle followed her, got ahead of her and waited.
Now, this girl LOVES motorcycles, so when he offered her a ride, she readily accepted. This bike was a Harley Dyna (though she couldn't tell one from another then) and it was a wonderful ride. And they lived happily to this day (He is now my fiance).
The dyna my fiance owns is, granted a 1997. But, aside from the usual maintenance (reseal the forks, oil changes, new tires and rims) it is a very good bike. True, he is steadily upgrading it -- just got new handlebars, is getting a wide-glyde conversion kit, a new seat (he usually rides solo these days) and so on and so forth. Can't forget the pipes -- his blow my ears out when he rides past me on the street, even with the windows only cracked.
Next weekend is Bike Week in Daytona, and HERE WE COME!!
All in all, good solid bike. Not too flashy, not too terribly heavy (even though I have dropped it once) (had a hell of a time getting it back up, too, and thank the gods he wasn't TOO mad at me for that) smooth ride, and, like I said, It's a HARLEY.

Loud pipes save lives. I own a Japanese Harley copy, its ok! looks the part, sounds the part... but... it aint no Harley.
Just took a ride on a Wide Glide at my local Harley dealer. Looks like I'm going to have to spend some hard earned cash... but what the hell..... its a Harley. Gonna try and make Sturgis next year. Scarecrow
