Call me a "born again", a "fair weather biker" even a "BOG" (boring old git to my daughter) but I cannot conjure the enthusiasm to raise a snail, in favour of the new Harley. It had to go back. Yes it was a head turner, particularly at the seaside, ... ...on long journeys and no it was not a good replacement for the now aging Triumph. It handled like an elephant (yes I have ridden one) and proffered no defence against the British elements. The controls were not easy to find and it used a lot of juice.
Was it Easy Rider that moved the imagination and the wide expanse of the USA? Moreover the climate? Maybe, but think again and test ride again before you take the plunge and buy.
