I'm sure you have all seen the product before. Blue bottle with a spout at the end for squirting the stuff under the rim.
I have a bottle in front of me, and it gives you directions of how to use, namely to squirt under the rim and all around the bowl, leave for at least 30 mins, scrub and flush, then reapply if needed.
It also has a long list of precautions, not least of which to keep ... ...pound.
Now I use Harpic about once a week. I have tried other loo cleaners, and they just do not perform as well.
I have no problems with limescale anymore, the loo is easy to clean in-between times and I am a happy bunny.
I would recommend Harpic to anyone who needs to rectify a loo disaster. It saves time and elbow grease for the worst household job there is.

Just thank goodness this isn’t one of them newfangled scratch n sniff opinions, that’s all I can say. I lifted the lid and was walloped in the olfactory organ by a stench that can only be described as “eau de urinal at Glastonbury Festival on a very hot summers day”.

...(men shop too!), I noticed Harpic 100% lime scale remover on the shelf. And being a guy I’m thinking, yeah! Ok, but decided to give it a try (guys never believe what the label says) anyway. So, ok I buy it. I take it home (and believe me when I say; we had a lot of lime scale in the afore mentioned place (make the posh people feel better), and give it a try. It worked a treat! There was still a little lime scale left, and so I repeated the procedure. ... ...it does say is:
