Harpic Power Plus Toilet Cleaner

Toilets always get a build up of lime scale, even the cleanest of toilets can have this build up but it is easily removed with a good lime scale remover and although I do not always buy a branded cleaner because I just think a lot of the cheaper ones on the market work well to clean toilets but I always love to buy one if it is on special offer and this one was one that I did buy on offer some time ago.

It comes in a plastic black bottle with a red screw off top, the bottle is not bulky it is slim line and very easy to hold. The top is child proof and the liquid inside is a very rich liquid, it is more of a gel, it is a nice soft texture and easily flows from the nozzle at the top of the bottle. The nozzle is a very good size and can easily be placed around the rim of the toilet. The liquid gel can easily be squeezed from the bottle with little effort needed. It is very thick and the smell is quite a pleasant fragrance and one that is not too strong or over powering compared to some other brands.

I do much prefer a more nicer fragranced cleaner but this one is not a smell of which I find to be unpleasant at all, it does not have a fragrance as such that I can describe as a perfume smell, it is more of a basic toilet cleaner smell but with a bleach kind of smell but not one that is as strong as a bleach in my opinion.

It removes tough stains and only a small amount covers quite a bit of the bowl, this one is 5 times more powerful than bleach and so the stains dissolve to leave a nice clean surface of the toilet and it disinfects it to leave it sparkling clean and very fresh. I do not have a large amount of limescale and so I do not have to keep scrubbing the toilet of which I am happy about but the small amount I do have, this liquid works well to remove it in no time at all. I just pour and leave it over night and in the morning I just flush it and the toilet is nice and clean. I find I do not have to give it a second application because the quality is so good, only the one is needed and sufficient.

I clean my toilet every single day and in the mornings a quick squeeze of this cleaner in the toilet and around the rim and the cleaner does all the hard work. I find it clings well to the bowl and a gentle scrub is all that it needs to clean perfectly, one flush and the gel is removed to leave a clean, refreshing loo.

The size of the bottle is 750ml and so it is quite a large bottle, it is such a powerful cleaner it can easily burn the skin if any is splashed onto it and so rubber gloves must be worn for protection of the hands and skin but that is just common sense. The bottle can easily be placed in a laundry cupboard and it fits well into mine of which has a lock on it for safety because I have a grandson and my cupboard is locked at all times.

I always like to use a toilet cleaner or bleach in my toilet before I go to bed and so to leave it over night to do the work and sometimes I like to use bleach but this one is similar to the thickness of bleach but it has a lot more power, which is why less is needed and so the bottle does last a little longer in my experience and opinion of using this cleaner.

The bottle can easily be recycled afterwards and so a bonus, because it is a plastic bottle it is not too heavy to hold and the bottle is also very comfortable to grip and pour the contents into the toilet with ease. I find it hard sometimes to hold a bottle but I have no problems holding this one.

This cleaner works a treat and I highly recommend it for anyone to give it a go as it worth the price and it most of all gives me all the results that I expect from a branded toilet cleaner. I am nearing the end of this cleaner and it is one I have bought many times and will continue to buy in the future.
