Harry has blended together a selection of the choicest clips, silliest sketches and sharpest gags inspired by TV's biggest shows including; Coronation Street, Emmerdale, The Apprentice and The Bill, all served up in his own unmistakable style. And of course TV Burp wouldn't be complete without a good FIIIIIIIIIGHT.......!

Shortly after this he had his own series on BBC Radio 4 called Harry Hill's Fruit Corner. His shift to Channel 4 TV in 1997 saw the beginning of The Harry Hill Show. This show was basically an updated for TV version of his Fruit Corner from radio, but was none the less very successful and ran for 3 series.
His quirky, surreal humour is not perhaps for everyone, but having said this there is a bit of everyone in there, he tells the gags and jokes as a story and somehow it all merges together to form an amusing and entertaining show. In 2001 he made the move to ITV with the instant hit Harry Hill's TV Burp in which he takes the total **** out of the soaps and TV in general. This venture earned him a nomination for a Golden Rose of Montreux. This program is currently in it's 6th series. Also on ITV was the bigger budget version of his Channel 4 show. Hill is an established Stand Up Comedian who is highly respected in his field, there is little smut in his routine and he seldom uses profanities. He has created his own list of catchphrases the most popular of which is " What are the chances of that happening ". Sometimes he is almost like a little boy trying to tell jokes, but it is probably his cheeky face that gets you first. A little like Dawn French who also has me laughing before she has spoken a word, Harry for me is just a natural comic. The overall expressions and look of disbelief in his face or the sudden confused look just has me in stitches.
In celebrity Stars in their eyes Harry took a little break from comedy and ventured to be Morrissey and performed "This Charming Man" quite well in my humble opinion, but it is definitely as a comedian that Harry has found his niche. His Channel 4 show earned him multiple awards and nominations, and his first publication "Flight from Deathrow was published in 1992. He has had another 2 subsequent books published and remains one of the countries best loved comedians. Not being much of a book reader I have as yet not sampled his comic value as the written word, but I have no reason to believe it would be less funny than his live performances.
I am looking forward to the next series of TV Burp and the criticism he shall embellish upon the soap fraternity. His explanation for this is that the time schedule for soaps is so tight that mistakes have to be left in. Fair enough, but the way he exploits these mistakes his hilarious. In Burp he often creates a short 15 sketch where it would appear that he is partaking in the soap, and then the punch line would abruptly end the routine. All in all I think Harry is a very funny guy who is fortunate enough to have a face that can get you started before the punch line.

Quick review of Harry Hill
I have just watched the latest edition of Mr. Hill 'TV Burp' and I must say that it is really nice to see a comedian relying on just stupid childishness instead of resorting to insults and foul language. Harry Hill is always good clean fun and never offensive. If you missed the episode catch it during the week on one of the ITV channels - you won't be disappointed. ...

Advantages: Funny. Great Saturday night family entertainment. Disadvantages: Not on for long enough! On ITV so adverts!
...am really looking forward to Harry Hill's TV Burp coming back on tomorrow night for another run, it really is the TV Highlight of the Week!!! I did not like Harry Hill so used to avoid this programme like the plague, however, having seen an episode at a friends house I am now addicted and can't remember why I never liked Harry Hill before!
If you have never watched TV Burp before it is basically Harry Hill sat in a studio reviewing the weeks TV. ... ...shreds was the fussy eaters programme on the BBC!

Reviews which might be of interest for "Harry Hill"
Advantages: funny and gentle Disadvantages: slight
After doing even tiny bit of research I realised that I must be the only person out there who ever read "Tim the Tiny Horse" having never heard of the author. Thus, I have to take another reviewer's word that it's "typical HarryHill" and will make an attempt at reviewing Tim as a stand-alone.
I am happy to say that it acquits itself well. Tim is a horse, blue and so tiny that he lives in matchbox with a tic-tac box for a conservatory. A single Hoola-Hoop makes his lunch (he prefers barbecue beef flavour) and a fly (called Fly) is his best friend. Tim doesn't do much - apart from a few not very successful attempts at making it big in the media he seems to spend his days watching television and socialising with Fly.
The book contains several short morality tales featuring Tim; each of them is a few pages long, with a little text ...
Advantages: Funny, Silly, Absurd, Surreal, Bizarre Disadvantages: If you don't like Harry Hill you won't like this
Many of you will know that HarryHill is a stand-up comedian and a brilliant one at that. Many of you may not know that he has written a fictional novel and that it is probably the most surreal and humorous book in the whole world!!
I?ve been a huge fan of HarryHill for ages, he leaves my stitches whenever I go and see his impressive live shows or whenever I re-watch one of his videos. You may have seen his programme on ITV1 ?HarryHills TV Burp? where he routinely pokes fun at the weeks television offerings.
The surreal and absurd nature of the book begins on the front cover which shows a picture of a stunt motorcyclist jumping over 6 people, however, the motorcyclist is HarryHill as are the six people on the floor. Each HarryHill face is making an odd expression! But onto the contents in the book itself.
Just before ...
Advantages: For adults and kids alike Disadvantages: I read it all in an hour
That fine line between Children and Adults material - not many can write something that balances on it. Particularly if it involves humour.
HarryHill's second book tells the story of Tim The Tiny Horse who, and you won't need reminding, is a very small horse! This hardback of short stories takes us through the day to day dilemma's of Tim and his best friend Fly (no prizes for guessing what he is)...
Tim tries to get a job on TV, takes a trip into town, tries the internet, gets a girlfiend and takes an interest in reality TV.
The clever twist in each story is that there's a 'lesson' that's been learnt by Tim at the end - which may help kids learn about various subjects... but really it's the humour that stands out. In typical style Harry uses his imagination in only a way that he can - I laughed from the opening paragraph ...
