Then Uncle Vernon doesn't want him mixing with wizards, so tries ... ...as they haven't heard from Harry in a while. So Ron, and the twins, steal their dads flying car to rescue Harry. This itself has you on the end of your seat waiting to see if it all goes smoothly!!

Thankfully the Weasleys realise that something isn't right as they haven't heard from Harry in a while. So Ron, and the twins, steal their dads flying car to rescue Harry. This itself has you on the end of your seat waiting to see if it all goes smoothly!!

Then things get worse. People and animals start becoming petrified! And Harry can hear voices in the walls, that no-one else can hear.
Then there is an extra defense againt dark arts lesson, extra protection for the students incase things got tough at Hogwarts. Pupils weren't allowed to walk the school alone!! Harry came head to head with Malfoy (arch enemies), in a disarming wand battle. A snake appears in the battle, and Harry amazingly talks in parseltongue to the snake. everybody was shocked and scared, as it was said the heir of Slytherin could talk in parseltongue!!
As more people are petrified, more people begin to think that Harry is the heir of Slytherin. Professor Dumbledoor knows that this isn't to do with Harry, although Professor Snape would like to think Harry was in the wrong.
After many twists and turns, it turns out that Ginny Weasley has in fact opened the Chamber of Secrets! She was rescued by Harry, after many attempts and having to continue through the events without Ron and Hermione.
I don't want to ruin the book by telling you exactly what happens, but once you start listening to this audio book you won't be able to switch it off.
Another fanastic JK Rowling book. And to have Stephen Fry as narrator really does it for the book. He changes his voice to the different characters, and reads it word for word from the book. Thats was one of the conditions JK Rowling put in, to have it turned into audio book it had to be exactly the same, and not a cut down version.
The cassettes are quite reasonable priced, around 25 to 30 pounds. CDs are quite a bit more expensive, but it is worth the money. You won't bore of these. I find them really relaxing to listen to at bedtime, and find I can't sleep without them now!!

Thiss book is actually the best harry potter book as its towards the start of harrys journey and you find out a lot of new stuff about his past and then it gets all interesting and when i first started reading it i could not put it down until i had finished it and it has an amazing story behind it

Advantages: very gripping and descriptive Disadvantages: the cover isnt like the film
...when they discver the chamber of secrets and find the real cause of al the bad things that were happening and i think the endings are briliant and they always make you want to know what hapens next i highly recomend this book this is great for harry potter fans ...

Advantages: A pleasure of a rollar coaster with an amazing twist. Disadvantages: Gets a tad boring towards the middle as Rowling over uses description
This book is quite simplythe biggest rollarcoaster of a ride you could ever imagine. Filled with a humourous touch and a very classy character description, this book is great for all ages. When i read this, I was 10 and this was easily the best book I have eveer read. It may be rather complicated to understand at parts, with rather expressing language being used, but it was a pleasure to read. I really think the plot was imaginative, unique and amazingly ... ...If your get the paperback version, be aware it is quite flimsy, and dont be fooled by the price. The ending is a rather unexpected and JK. Rowling included an imaginative twist. This is by far the best in the series, and should be read as the seriesd was written not before or after the 2nd. Howver, I can assure you, if you like fast action and rather humourous books, you'll love it. I'm sorry for the fact that i posted under the wrong category, but ...
