Many, if not most, of you reading this will have read 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' and very likely the rest of the books in the Harry Potter series as well. The audio book provides an entirely different experience to reading the novels however, what could be more comforting than being read well loved story by Stephen Fry?

The story its self is gripping. As the boy wizard grows up it is expected that his audience will as well, and this book has darker undertones than its predecessors, and beautifully developed characters which cater to older reader's needs. As always J.K. Rowling sucks readers (or listeners) in to Harry's world, a world which is now under threat after the return of lord voldermort at the end of book 4 and which is becoming increasingly wider and more intriguing as the story unfolds. This installment provides a lot of backstory for that world and in doing so provides limitless food for the imagination.

The story is complemented wonderfully by Fry's enthusiastic and emotive narration. He 'does voices' wonderfully and his comfortingly familiar tones provide wonderful escape from the world.

This audiobook would be a great gift for a Potter lover, or a good way to get kids to sleep at night without having to read to them for hours from the rather large and heavy print version of the book.
