Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Why read this one?... What tempted me to read this book? Until recently I had not considered reading this book, I had seen all of the movies because my daughter had insisted that they were so good I had to do. I have to admit to finding them enjoyable but liked the later ones better as the characters were older. It is perhaps a little surprising, that someone such as myself - self proclaimed Harry Potter nut - has yet to review anything Potter related. This is because I love this series so much, I'm not sure my reviews could do the books justice. I had several amazing gifts for my 21st birthday, but none kept me entertained so long as this little gem! I recieved the boxed set of the Harry Potter books from my friend, and although this review is technically about the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone, I have to recommend that you read them all! The Philosopher's Stone starts off in a normal house on a normal street. In that house live a family called the Dursley's.
