Advantages: Does everything, and then some
Disadvantages: A little pricey if all you want is a straight 30 Watt practise amp

...This bass amp is tremendous fun if you simply want to play for sheer enjoyment, jamming with friends and trying out different effects, as well as being able to load midi files (backing tracks and so on) from the web and play / practise with them. It is not the cheapest 30 watt kick-back amp around, but it is packed with features and can "model" a host of different amp systems and styles, from valve amps to huge stacks, as well as add a wealth of effects (echo, fuzz, reverb and so on). Its also good for small gigs and, hey, you can always add another speaker cabinet if you need to. Its light and portable enough to take almost anywhere...me? I've really enjoyed owning one and would recommend it to anyone who fits the criteria I outlined above.... Read review

Disadvantages: Slightly Lacking In Bass Tone And A Big Sound

...Hi Dudes!!!! This Marshall 2x12 Speaker cabinet is a great way to introduce a new head from marshal or another company such as peavey. The sound quality out of the speakers is quite bassy and high quality, not quite as good as the 4x12 but will defetenly keep up with any sort of head you choose. Although this is a very good speaker cabinet and would be alot easier to transport than a 4x12 i would always choose the 4x12 simply beacuse they are not much more expensice than the 2x12 and you get a noticable amount more of bass and an all round bigger sound, giving you the real Marshall experience and sounding alot more like the pro's than what the 2x12 would Although of this the 2x12 is still a very good buy and say and will always say if you buy a marsahll its never going to be a bad buy!!! Advantages: Quality and fabulous sound
Disadvantages: Not cheap, but such quality never is

...I have very large hands, and find many guitar necks too narrow. I already had a Martin D 16 GT and I was well impressed. The DM 12 looks good. The finish is 'satin' and unfussy, without unnecessary adornment. That's not to say it looks basic, it actually looks just right. The instrument is extremely well made, and lighter than you'd imagine. Mine has a rosewood fingerboard and Schaller machine heads with the Martin logo. The action is light and low, with no fret buzz regardless of how I play. The DM 12 that I bought is 3 years old, though in absolute mint condition and doesn't even look as though it's ever been played - strange, but true. The most impressive thing about any Martin that I've ever played is the sound and the DM 12 is highly impressive. The sound is beautifully rich and mature and not thin and jangly like some cheaper...
