Advantages: Great free night out Disadvantages: Pricey!
It is now several years since HarveyNichols opened its Leeds store, there was a great deal of excitement and people rushed to see what the fuss was all about.
This is a high class store which is situated in the heart of Leeds City Centre's main shopping street, Briggate. From the outside it looks very plush, with uniformed doormen opening the doors as you enter.
Once inside the quality of the goods on display is reflected in their prices, not somewhere to go if you are short of a bob or two!
The store has the usual departments - cosmetics, perfumery, ladies handbags, ladies and gents clothing and a wonderful food department. In the food section you can browse around the unusual selections of items available from all over the world, amongst these are some products that most of us can afford to buy. Even if we can't afford ...
Advantages: Wide range of designer labels. Classy,Good restaurant Disadvantages: Busy. Not Cheap.
There are a number of famous stores in Knightsbridge but my favourite is HarveyNichols- Harvey Nicks to the locals- which is very well known on account of being one of the late Princess Diana's fav shopping spots.
Harvey Nicks is best known for its virtually unrivalled selection of the latest fashions for men, women and kids. All the big name designer labels are here ranging from Calvin Klein to Ralph Lauren and Miyake. There is also a highly extravagant selection of perfumes, magnificent hats and fantastic designer home furnishings. It is expensive but still not as pricy as Harrods.
If you feel like a nice lunch HN wont disappoint you - you can pay a call to the richly acclaimed FifthFloor restaurant and sample their great value lunch menu. It is value for money given its quality and the lovely surroundings. If you are a bit pushed ...
Advantages: great clothes, brilliant selection of clothes, great atmosphere no pressure Disadvantages: I need some money
The count down for ages to see HarveyNichols in Edinburgh open was finally coming to an end. After weeks of hearing about it finally the day had come for the open day. I didn't go the first day though because it would be too busy and I hate going on the first day. I went about a week and a half later thinking it would calm down but no, still mile long queues which could take up to 20 minutes to get in. I was in a rush and couldn't wait in the heat to get in. I know it may sound strange when I say heat but Scotland can have it's Autumn summer days.
After about a month of being open I went back again but then I remembered all of the celebrities would be there because it was the official open day, no luck for me. I was going to stay to see Ewan McGregor and I could have been second in the queue behind a girl who looked as if she had ...
