~ Background Information ~
The new Star Wars Animated Clone Wars Movie (and TV Series) has added yet more great storylines, locations, characters and vehicles to the ever-expanding Star Wars Universe. It has also introduced a whole new generation of younger fans to that Galaxy far, far away .....
~ Hasbro Toys ~
Hasbro has been producing a wide range of Star Wars products for many years [from kids toys to adult collectables] and they have pulled out all the stops for the Animated Clone Wars range. Everything from the simple [but effective] packaging design to the quality of the toys themselves has been exremely well thought out and in my opinion the Clone Wars toys are some of Hasbro's finest to date.
The characters in the traditional 3.75" range look awesome ... and Obi Wan Kenobi is a fine example of a well designed action figure.
~ Obi Wan Kenobi Action Figure (Clone Wars) ~
Obi Wan Kenobi comes in his Clone Wars outfit ... a subtle mix of Jedi Robes and Clone Trooper Battle Armour. He also comes with an interchangable head (a choice between his face and a helmet) a rocket firing jetpack and of course his trusty Lightsaber !!! As a General during the Clone Wars Obi Wan was highly respected and this action figure quite accurately portrays the nobility, heroism and determination of one of the Star Wars Saga's most well loved characters.
~ Summary ~
This action figure (as well as the other figures in the Clone Wars range) are very well designed, made and packaged and come with a range of great accessories.
However, retailing at an average of £8 the new Clone Wars figures are not cheap either ... and for younger children wanting to re-create the action and excitement of the Clone Wars the figures themselves could prove costly. Of course for some adult collectors the figure would be kept mint on a card but for "play" purposes I would suggest tracking down figures loose on sites such as eBay !!!
