On a recent trip to visit my Sister, she got out a "toy" for Georgia Grace to play with.
The Toy.

TJ Bearytales. TJ is manufactured by Hasbro, which is an American Toy Company. It is one of the largest in the world, second only to Mattel.
It is sold under the "Playskool" logo.
TJ Bearytales is an educational toy, it sits with your child and tells stories. TJ has an American accent, which by no means distracts from the bear, he is cuteness itself. In a lovingly "made by Mom" look blue waistcoat, TJ is around 12 inches tall, although he sits down. He has the most beautiful green eyes, which look into your childs. His face is animated by moving ears and eyebrows, blinking eyes, and moving mouth. His arms move as he tells each story. He is a "Golden-Brown" colour, which I think looks really cute for a Teddy-Bear.
He has the initials TJB beautifully embroidered on his left foot, in a circle.
He has a story programmed into him, and then you can buy separate cartridges, each with their own different story, and their own games and songs on. He comes with "My Big Birthday Surprise" embedded in him. He has a beautiful
little plastic backpack on his back, where the cartridges are plugged in, and the extra cartridges are stored.
TJ also comes with a book to go with each story, which you can read along with TJ, or read alone with your child. For better effect, I read along with TJ, and Georgia loves to look at the pictures in the book too.
He takes 4 'D' Batteries, which should only be placed inside the toy by an Adult. Access is underneath the toy, through a panel which has to be accessed by using a very small, cross-head screwdriver.
Price and Availability.

TJ Bearytales retails for around £49.99, but I got Georgia's when it was on half price at Argos last month.
The TJ Bearytales Cartridges are not very widely available at all. I found it quite difficult to source them, unless I went online to www.toysrus.co.uk or imported them from America.
Each Cartridge retails for around £9.99 each, which is quite pricey really.

The price of TJ Bearytales is different in most places. In Toys'r'Us, it is £19.99 on offer.
Different stories and games appear on each cartridge, and there are different songs too, but they all relate to the story being told. You can pause the story during play, it pauses for about three minutes, roughly.
Age Range.

TJ Bearytales is recommended for ages 3 and over, but as Georgia is so advanced, I thought I would get it, and she could help me "play" with him until she is old enough to use all the activities herself.
