...The DEC 2000 gave me access to a lot of channels in my room and digital radio stations. It is very easy to use and looking at the remote itself gives you a good grasp of the controls. Easy to hook up to the PC via a USB cable allowing you to view or capture Video on your computer. Very good quality image and it is easy to see a difference from analogue. Customisable program options help a lot with various channel order etc. Also has the ability to update firmware via digital antenna. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a freeview box as you will not be dissapointed. Have had this for about a year and a half and still works like a dream. No problems at all.... ...I bought the 512mb mp3 player from hitech2go. I was extremely happy with my purchase as my old mp3 player the unlimited one was dieing and I desperately needed a new one, and this fit all my criteria, I wanted it to have a display, random play mode, and have expandable memory by means of an SD (secure digital) or MMC (multimedia) Card. The fm radio was a bonus until I actually received it and discovered it didn't pick up anything, and therefore I could never use the radio. At first it was great it got straight to work playing music I already had on an SD, the menu was quite easy to follow and it was easy to use on the whole the only problems where that the sound quality which was easily solved by changing the headset, and the menu functions involved a lot of scrawling. Advantages: Excellent support of OS, hardware and software; good range; easy to use and install; very resistant to knocks! "PC Beige" so matches your computer.
Disadvantages: URL entry a bit annoying; "PC Beige" so doesn't match your other zappers!

...Since I bought my Multimedia Magic remote control last year, I am happy to say I have had no problems with it. Having bought it from Albany Computers (www.albany-computers.co.uk) for 45 pounds, I plugged the receiver (which is shaped like a small computer monitor) into my PC and was away within a couple of minutes. The software I had on the CD was by no means current; it provided sufficient functionality but the new version I downloaded from the Net was much better. The remote can control Winamp and other music players, TV tuners, radio cards, voice modems, video players (including DVD players, Realplayer and Windows Media Player), and even Web browsers. The CD player-like track and position controls serve for most functions; channel change buttons work on TV and radio tuners; a joypad-style key with three auxiliary buttons... Read review
