Tried this in Cuba. Easily the best white rum on the market IMHO. Best used in mixers. Has a natural vanilla flavor and aroma.

Beats Bacardi any day. Trust me, once you try it you won't go back.

I find adding 2 to 3 oz is best so your mix doesn't mask the flavor profile. Besides the usual rum and cola, try mixing with tropical juices. Mango juice goes really well together with this rum.

If you want a rum to enjoy neat or on the rocks I suggest the Havana Club Reserva, however myself and my friends both agree the rum just doesn't taste the same as buying it in Cuba. Perhaps it has to do with how stores store it. The blanco should be fine, since it really isn't aged for very long, which isn't always a bad thing, depending on your tastes.

If you really are daring, try a real Cuban rum and cola. The way they do it is pour the rum and the cola at the same time in a regular sized beer plastic cup. Very refreshing, if you can handle it. If you don't believe me, if you ever manage to end up in Cuba, I guarantee you will get it served this way as they literally go through these bottles within minutes.
