Hi-Gain HWREN1 Wireless-300N Ease of Use & Benefits

Advantages: Ease of Use, Excellent ranges covered, no disconnections
Disadvantages: None that i can say

use. Most of the devices have not worked to my satisfaction. Since I bought a Hawkin Hi-Gain HWREN1 Wireless-300N Range Extender I have had no problems connecting. The benefits outweigh the cost. I paid £89 for this device and I really like it. When i first started out using wireless I would get a 28% signal and 24% link quality. My server is only 116 ft away from me and yet the link was unstable. Disconnections where a constant problem. Since using my Hawkin Hi-Gain HWREN1 Wireless-300N Range Extender I get a 89% signal and 96% link ratio. It cuts through excess signal noise and connects wonderfully. The security setting allow for wep, wpa, wpa2, wpa-psk. 64bit, 128bit and 256bit encryption. The range is amazing. I have recieve signals from .75 miles away and can connect to devices that are within a half mile radius without any ...

Great Multimedia Wireless Router from Belkin

Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to configure, Lots of features, USB for sharing drives
Disadvantages: Bit expensive, Not full speed with every machine

INTRO The Belkin N+ router is one of the higher end (consumer) wireless modem router offerings from Belkin. It cost me £85 from PC World, but can probably be found for a bit less if you shop online. The Cable version costs a little less. Reason I bought this one was because two PCs in the house with wireless cards kept losing the wireless connection when I was using a Linksys router (my own PCs / laptops were fine though!). I replaced that with a second hand Belkin, which worked fine but unfortunately, a power cut killed the wireless on it. Liking the performance of that cheaper Belkin router, I decided to stick with Belkin and get this one! DESIGN The router looks very stylish and stands up tall rather than laid down flat. It doesn't appear to have been designed to be laid down flat like many other routers, which may be to ...

Linksys's Lightning fast wireless router

Advantages: Fast speeds, Reliable, Stylish
Disadvantages: I had wireless problems, Gets a bit warm, no restart router option in config

The Linksys WAG160N N300 is an ADSL2+ wireless modem router, meaning it has a a modem built in. It is for use with BT Internet connections rather than for use with a Cable broadband connection (i.e. Virgin) although a Cable version is also available. It?s an ADSL2 router, which means it supports the newer ADSL standard, which could mean faster transfer speeds although this really depends on your line quality, distance from Exchange, service with ISP, etc. The router currently costs £74.99 from PC World but a bit less at £59.99 on their website. I bought mine about 8 months ago on Ebuyer for around £55. IN THE BOX You receive two ADSL filter s, RJ11 cable, user manual, manual and software CD, power adapter and lastly, the router itself. THE ROUTER ITSELF One thing I quite like about the router is that it looks quite ...
