Head & Shoulders Citrus Fresh for Greasy Hair

Head and shoulders is a well known and what one might say a respected company, better known for their ability to help fight dandruff, you know, the flaky stuff that makes you unpopular! Of course being unfamiliar with such an ailment as this, (lol), i have never really found myself using their products, however, having recently stumbled across their brand spanking new edition to the collection of miracle shampoo's "citrus fresh" i decided to tell you all what you can expect from this bottle of love!

"Whats it do?"

Well, besides the obvious, clean your hair. Head and shoulders promise that citrus frsh will leave your hair lighter, cleaner and citrus fresh! well dur Mr H&S, this is what i would expect from any shampoo, ahh, but wait, there is more! This particular shampoo is for oily and greasy hair! The extracts of lemon grass, grapefruit and green tea will leave you with hair that is beautifully manageable and combines a sophisticated "get close to me" fragrance leaving you 100% dandruff free. Sophisticated eh! looks like me and this shampoo have something in common! So, did the shampoo prove it's worth?

"The effect"
Now i have been quite frustrated with my shampoo's of late and find that washing my hair is becoming increasingly difficult, this is because I am trying to grow it, and had forgotten what a nightmare it is to wash ones long barnett! So when this shampoo lathered up in my hair instantaneously and produced a lather for any other shampoo to be jealous of, it had scored its first point with me! I was very impressed that it conditioned my hair so well, this is not a conditioner combi shampoo, but i had to check because as i rinsed my hair, i could run my fingers through it, it was far from the matted mess i was particularly used to. Bravo Head and Shoulders.

"Whats it look like?"
This shampoo is very rich and comes out in a nice consistency of thickness, rather like very thick cream, which i think is why it lathers up so very well! It is a pleasant green colour, (i know, your thinking there is no such think as pleasant green) but believe me, its really actually quite nice.
The bottle has a simple but effective design, a nice whit tall bottle with a blue flip lid! H & S written inside a blue swirl, and not too much else, like i said, nice and simlple!

"Whats it smell like?"
Despite it's green appearance, this shampoo does not smell medicated, it is a very fresh and citrussy smell, how odd! Not at all overpowering, in fact it brings back fond memories of childhood, washing ones hair in the showers at the swimming pool, wiping away all that nasty chlorine! aaahhh! Ahem! yes, it is very nice.

"Whats it taste like?"
Just to prove to you all that i'm a highly dedicated reviewer, i gave it a quick lick! Actually i accidentally got a trace on my finger, and inadvertantly put my thumb in my mouth! ok ok, so i enjoy the occasional thumb! But actually it wasn't too overpowering as a taste! But i don't think you'd want to spread it on your toast ok!

Ha, buying things is for fools, why not visit www.Head&shoulders.co.uk like i did and claim your super duper free travel size bottle, mine arrived in no time at all, and because it lathers so well, the bottle will last you a while!

"Does it work on dandruff?"
Your gonna have to put your trust into head and shoulders regarding this one, because i dont suffer from it im afraid! what am i saying! But im convinced by many that it really does work! I was however apprehensive about using it as it can tend to strip colour on your hair, and i do dye mine blonde from time to time! However, it seems to be fine for now, but you have been warned!

"Final verdict"
I was really impressed with this, i expected it to be like every other promising shampoo, nothing really special at all! but boy did it prove me wrong, it washed brilliantly and when drying my hair it was much easier to manage as it was conditioned so well, amazing considering it doesn't contain any conditioner. And its well worth giving it a go, because you can get a bottle for free! The free bottle gets you 75ml of shampoo, and a handy little leaflet telling you more about them! The citrus smell does come through in the washing experience, whether it s down to the lemon grass, grapefruit and green tea i really dont know, but who cares! its great!
