Philips SBCHC8440 Review

Advantages: light, smallish, built-in volume control, good sound quality
Disadvantages: crackle when moved, strange base

I bought this wireless headphone from argos for £33.99. I have only had one main issue with these headphones, and that is when i move my head slightly, the headphones lose connection, or crackle and that is only resolved by smacking the headphones or moving again. Other irritating things about this set is that the base has its own headphone jack built in, so you cant do certain things with it. the other odd thing about these is that the base uses ...
...i just found that a bit wierd. The headphones also dont give you much of a heads-up about a low battery level. when it first went dead, the headphones just died suddenly, right in the middle of an action scene in the film i was watching. I was happy with the built in volume control on the headphones as well. the headphones are comfortable to wear and the headphones are light. that is one major issue i find with some wireless headphones, is that ...

Great Headphones!!!

Advantages: Snug and comfortable fit. Great bass and mids.
Disadvantages: No in-line volume control.

I haven't written a review b4. Anyway...... I have been using this headset for 2 weeks. Great bass and mid-range. Treble could have been a bit more sharp & volume is not that high enough for my liking when I plug it to my Nokia 5320 Xpress Music. But the whole story changes when I plug it to my PC. The sound is full and quite powerful. With a bit of pre-amp & equalizer tinkering, this headphone rocks!! The earcups are pretty comfortable considering ...
...wear these cans for hours without discomfort. I missed an in-line volume controller though. The 3.5mm pin is gold plated. A 6.5mm adapter (which is also gold plated) is in the bundle. I was considering to buy Sony MDR XD200. But the Sony dealers in Cochin could't deliver it in the promised time. I was loosing my patience & it was then I came across this great phones at a Planet M store. The phones costs me 1690 INR. Anyway I'd recommend this headphones ...

iLove My Music

Advantages: Stylish, durable, easy to use
Disadvantages: Sound quality not as good as more expensive products, length of chord could be longer

...and that’s all down to Apple and their range of computers, coupled with the iPod in which then came iTunes; a place where anyone can download music to their computers to sync with their iPod, to CD’s or simply to listen to on their computer. It’s safe to say that Apple have achieved the best gadget of the decade in the iPod. But what good is an iPod or indeed any portable music player without headphones? I doubt I have to answer that for you but ...
...you? This is where Apple have come up with a winner with their classic set of headphones. Apple headphones have always been pretty much the same over the years and I think they’re all the better for it. You can go out and buy all the latest £100 pairs of headphones that you like, but you’ll look just as stylish with these because they have become synonymous with iPods, therefore as long as iPods continue to be seen not only as revolutionary music ...

Decent enough but could be better!

Advantages: Decent fit, good sound quality, free with Ipods
Disadvantages: Expensive if bought without Ipod, breaks quite easily

Apple Ipod Earphones Review Apple Ipod Earphones are probably the most used and also the most recognizable earphones available. You will walk down the street and nearly always see someone wearing these or on the tube. Everyone has them because nearly everyone has an Ipod. However the earphones are actually not that great and although free with an Ipod cost about £15-20 if you want them new and I definitely would not recommend them if you are ...
...look quite nice like all Apple products. I do like the look of the earphones compared to most others around. ***Fitting and Comfort*** The earphones are quite comfortable and fit reasonably well. Mine used to often fall out of my left ear for some reason but that does not really happen now! They are basically quite nice fitting but nothing special. ***Sound Quality*** People sometimes criticize the Ipod sound quality but in these earphones the sound ...

Better than your average pair, but not without flaws

Advantages: Great sound quality, Isolates noise, Great bass
Disadvantages: Poor treble, Poor packaging

There are a few reasons why you might want noise-isolating earphones. The obvious is, of course, the "noise isolating" (although to be more accurate it should be noise-cancelling). Earphones like this sit in the ear canal and expand so that extraneous noise is blocked out (other types of noise-cancelling headphones use a microphone on the outside powered by batteries and, if you're interested in listening to music on the train or plane, that sort ...
...The other reason to use this type of earphone would be because they don't tend to fall out as much as traditional earbuds of the sort you get with an iPod. I for one can only use that sort of earphone with the small foam "sock" or something similar as I seem to have very strange ears! So if you find yourself constantly having to push earphones back in, or find the falling out while at the gym or on the bike, then this type might be worth looking ...
