I had previously owned a couple of pairs of Sennheiser PX100's and was extremely pleased with their sound and the overall appeal of Sennheiser headphones. Review of Sennheiser HD485

Fit for purpose nothing more

Advantages: Can be listened to around the house
Disadvantages: No rechargable batteries

With the base unit plugged in, (so no good for portable audio), and connecting the base unit up to my computer, the connector is just a standard 3.5mm ...

Solid and comfortable - brilliant sound

Advantages: Comfortable, good sound response
Disadvantages: A 'bit' too much bass initially.

Advantages: Price, ultra lightweight, comfort and bass response

Review of Sennheiser EH 250

Gets the best out your equipment

Advantages: Works well with an iPod plenty enough volume, Sounds amazing
Disadvantages: Cables break easy and are expensive to replace.

Iv'e had these about 18 months now, I bought these as a treat because I has made some money selling stuff I had found on the scrap heap! I bought them mainly for using at my computer, I did try them with my Minidisc player I had at the time, but it struggled to power them, it was only when I got an iPod I started to wear them out and about. I would not recommend them for jogging or cycling, but for walking and sitting on the bus they are OK, although ...
...are so big. Although you will need an MP3 player with a lot of power if you do want to wear them out. Compared to in ear phone the sound quality is a revelation, it really shows me what the iPod is capable of sonicly. The bass is good even with no bass boost which is good because the bass boost on the iPod causes distortion. I am already on my third cable the cable is a bit expensive and hard to find, but I would expect the cable to last longer ...
