Audiophile headphones at a reasonable price
Advantages: Great sound quality, comfortable Disadvantages: Long cable, large connector, slight lack of bass
Introduction Sennheiser are a well known name in the music industry in terms for high quality, producing mainly headphones and microphones, both for businesses and personal use. The HD555s are one of Sennheiser's "audiophile" offerings according to the website, sitting between the HD515 and the HD595. Currently selling for £69.99, these are hardly the cheapest headphones, but with so many rave reviews around I decided it was worth at least ... ...needed though - why don't Sennheiser offer a shorter cable? The only place to get them pre-made is through audiophile websites, and these sites are hardly cheap - $70 for a cable? These negative points aside, I was still very much looking forward to trying them out, so I connected them up to my PC... Testing To test them, I decided to play 3 very different tracks, from a variety of genres. The first was Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5 In C Minor: ...

User test- Sennheiser RS120 Wireless Headphones
Advantages: Sound Quality, Cost, Mobility, Design, Ergonomics Disadvantages: Weight
...bass response and like other Sennheiser models has a pretty clear 'top end' (or high frequency response). - I was pleasently supprised when they charge was finnished and I first tuned them in. The sound quality is obviously not as good as a pair of headphones costing 100+ pounds, but then you're getting them for around 60 quid, and they're wireless! - If you are after top quality studio or reference headphones, then the RS120's aren't for you. If ... ...that I've found with other Sennheiser models of headphone is that they don't look very 'cool' on your head....Don't get me wrong, the design in nice but they tend to look quite bulky on one's head....basically they don't hug the shape of your head that well, but then again this is purely cosmetic and it's not like you'll be wearing these out on the street!
Functions / Controls:
On the base unit there is only 1 switch. This switch allows you to ...

Great headphones in a regular noisy environment
Advantages: Noise reduction on the move Disadvantages: Comfort fades over time.
I had been thinking about this sort of product for a long time and decided to make the plunge this year. After reading numerous reviews of different models I eventually decided on the PXC300. I found it hard to choose because there were very mixed reviews for the same items, what someone thought brilliant, someone else thought rubbish.
These were my eventual choice and I awaited my first flight with interest. I can now say that they make a tremendous ... ...make a great reduction to the engine noise. If you listen to the movie or your IPOD at a comfortable level with the noise reduction on, and then turn it off, the background noise completely drowns the music. This just shows how effective they are. Being able to listen at this queiter level is good for your ears and general tiredness. The sound quality is very reasonable.
What they don't do is cut out irregular noise like people talking, tannoy announcements ...

PXC 250 - Good VFM noise-cancelling headphones
Advantages: Great value for money. Excellent at dealing with low frequencies. Disadvantages: Bulky battery pack. Phone interference may be an issue for some.
...invested in a pair of Sennheiser CX 300’s which are an in-ear type and much more suitable for on-the-go and iPod use (see my review of the same on this site). Another potential downside is that they can suffer from mobile phone interference, but as I mainly use them on tube and plane, this is not really an issue for me.
Battery life is pretty good. I would estimate around 16 to 20 hours of near constant use with high performance batteries, or around ...

Give your ears some comfort!
Advantages: Nice and stylish over-the-ear design. Silicon adapters better our listening experience. Disadvantages: None.
...shop, there's one corner displaying Sennheiser products. I looked around and finally, had my eyes glued onto a Sennheiser IE6 over-the-ear earphone. Interested in the product, I asked for some information about it from a salesperson. After a couple of minutes, I finally bought the IE6, which comes with a sleek carrying case, ear adapter set, cable clip, ear loops and a cleaning tool. I was eager to listen to the sound projection, as from what the ... ...earphones for any flaws. After that, I scanned through the earphone in great detail. From what I saw, I can say that it has quality build. What makes it different from other earphones is the strengthened cables, reinforced with a special type of material known as Kevlar , which makes the cable more strong and less vulnerable to breakage. Eager to listen to the sound projection, I then took out my MP3 player and immediately plugged in the earphone. ...
