Excellent Entry Level For Want To Be Audiophiles
Advantages: Good sound quality for price, sturdy, long cable length Disadvantages: Can be uncomfortable over long periods of use, not exactly small
...more impressive is that the Grado provide a year long guarantee with the headphones, which means if they do break due to normal wear and tear you'll have the chance to replace them. How's that for confidence in a product?
Sound wise it's definitely a step up from the cheaper inner ear buds, and if your like me and find ear buds uncomfortable to wear, a bit of a godsend. Though you might need to test them out before hand. As someone else has already ... ...was easily cause a little discomfort. Though personally I've never had that problem. Anyhow I digress, sounds are much more three dimensional and spacious then any headphones I've used before, and there's noted warmth to any music with very textual qualities (Acts like My Bloody Valentine or Spiritualized), My biggest warning comes with listening to MP3s with them. Don't bother with the SR60 if you think that 192kbps is an acceptable quality. They ...

Good 'bang-for-the-buck' from Grado headphones.
Advantages: Good sound, long lead, mini-jack and 1/4 inch jack provided. Disadvantages: Some may find the 'on ear' fit difficult at first.
In the interests of disclosure, I used to sell these products!
These are great headphones with Grado's unique vintage styling. These are the second headphone up the range and a clearly noticable improvement from the entry level (they use better wiring & technically superior, closer matched drivers). The jump up to the next headphone in the series (SR125) does not give anywhere near the same return for your money as the jump from SR60 to SR80. So ... ...worth it. (I always felt that you needed to jump up 2 models above the SR80 to get a similar jump in quality).
They have a long lead as standard and come with mini-jack plug (for portable kit) and an adaptor to fit standard 1/4 inch jacks on Hi-Fi kit.
So what do they do well? Good bass extension, good detail in the mid range and nicely extended treble (without being 'sharp' or 'harsh' like so many of the competition). Just an allround quality ...

iDont think they should be falling apart!?
Advantages: Very very good sound quality Disadvantages: After constant use, they stop working
...I have used the included apple earphones that you get with the iPod for listening to my music on the computer and on the iPod. Out of all the earphones I have used, these are probably the best for sound quality. They have good bass and treble and all songs sound very, very clear. I liked the style of the earphones, with them being white, and they are incredibly comfy to use. They fitted in my ears very well, and even if i used them when i was walking ... ...anyyyyyy mp3 player or ipod or headphone port (apart from those is quite a few phones, where the port is smaller)
Although... after about 8 months of constant use, i noticed one of the earphones starting to cut out or get quieter when i tilted or moved my head. It was also starting to fall apart with the rubber around the earphone. I decided to bin that set of earphones but did not want to pay 20 pound for some new ones.
I got a new iPod for christmas ...

Sony's hook
Advantages: neat and tidy with good sound production Disadvantages: the retractor can sometimes be annoyingly in the way
...The Manufacturer Sony was founded by Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka in 1946. They were always designing and manufacturing new electronics. One of their first innovations was the automatic rice cooker that was successful. Morita and Ibuka earned a living by repairing radios and manufacturing voltmeters. They were originally called Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo, which is interpreted as Tokyo Telecommunication Engineering Company. Now they are called the by the ... ...For many years now, Sony is a household name, everywhere you go, Sony is there. CD player in the living room, television in the bedroom, DVD player in the car, mobile phones in your pocket and more. The Design This is basically an in-ear design; the earphone goes in the ear rather than covering the ears. The earphones is pushed a few millimetres into the ear canal, this helps prevents external noise coming in whilst listen to the sound coming from ...

HP 400
Advantages: design, price, sound isaolation, bass-line Disadvantages: materials, a lot of plastic, no volume controller, not competely packable
...(exeption is leather head cover), have much less weight and look much cheaper- in design and materials. But still, compared to similar headphones from other companies, Philips still has pretty good sound for the price (mine cost only 20£), though it seems that Philips is cutting off on quality. ...
