Disadvantages: Poor bottom and top end reproduction, a bit too small for my ears, zero isolation

It's hard to believe I bought the same thing as the previous reviewer. They provide <i>no</i> isolation whatsoever; the supplied foam plugs (2 sets, not 4, and all the same size) are only just large enough to stop the buds from falling out of my ears; finally the sound quality leaves a great deal to be desired. Without equalisation they are simply unusable. With maximum bass and minimum treble they are better balanced, but the bottom end is rather ...
...pan sizzling). The mid-range reproduction is excellent and highly detailed, but that's really a minimum criterion for bothering to listen to anything. Sure, they're probably better than most players' supplied buds, but I would rather have spent 3 times as much as these cost on something 3 times as good. My old Sennheiser MX500s (the original metallic blue model, not the more recent white substandard one) were distinctly better than these, at 1.5 ...

Review of Koss THE PLUG

Koss Porta-pro Headphones.

Advantages: Great sound
Disadvantages: You can't marry them!

Amazing. I got these and they blew me away! The sound quality is superb, much better than the more expensive headphones i have experienced. I don't have them on very loud but I do use the 'bass' setting on my ipod, which is awesome. =] The design can fold into itself for traveling and when they do this they do look a bit flimsy, but they are very durable. Which was good as soon as the music started I could honestly say I never wanted to take them ...
...and I think more headphones should be designed like this. The cushioned speakers are really soft and you have an adjustment to make them a firm fit or a softer one (I prefer firm :] ). There's also a slider thing (the two black bits on the rounded silver band in the photo) that makes the headphones bigger or smaller. I think I have quite a small head and they fitted beautifully and a friend tried them who is quite big-headed and they fitted him so ...

Great litte earbugs

Advantages: Low price, comfortable fit
Disadvantages: No in-line volume control

Reading the reviews I was initially concerned for getting a loud bass and no treble but then I decided to try them out with my ipod nano 3G. These turned out to be great earbuds with a very comfortable fit and a balanced sound for the price. Bass is great unless you push them too far down, which as expected causes the bass to become very loud, resulting in distorted and unnatural sound. Use them as per the instrunctions and you should get excellent ...

Review of Koss Spark PLUG

Cheap and lightweight

Advantages: Lightweight, comfortable and value for money
Disadvantages: Looks cheap

Sound Quality: Nice sound with typical Koss-bass. Plays well with MP3 player and PC-listening. I'm no audiophile though, but they sure beats the headsets that normally is included with the MP3-players. They enclose my ears completely but they let sound pass through. So you can hear your surrondings, and they do leak some sound to your surroundings as well. Comfort: The sets are quite light and does not clamp on to your head to hard, but stays ...
...use them for long stretch of time. Looks & Design They're made entirely out of plastic, and it shows. They're fold-able.. ..to some extent, but I wouldn't categorize them as portable. The cord is only about 1 meter (above 3 feet). which could both be a good thing or a bad thing. Durability The paint will wear of after some time if they're tucked away in a backpack or similar. The hinges looks kinda flimsy, but they haven't given in yet. Value ...

Review of Koss UR 40

iDont think they should be falling apart!?

Advantages: Very very good sound quality
Disadvantages: After constant use, they stop working

...I have used the included apple earphones that you get with the iPod for listening to my music on the computer and on the iPod. Out of all the earphones I have used, these are probably the best for sound quality. They have good bass and treble and all songs sound very, very clear. I liked the style of the earphones, with them being white, and they are incredibly comfy to use. They fitted in my ears very well, and even if i used them when i was walking ...
...anyyyyyy mp3 player or ipod or headphone port (apart from those is quite a few phones, where the port is smaller) Although... after about 8 months of constant use, i noticed one of the earphones starting to cut out or get quieter when i tilted or moved my head. It was also starting to fall apart with the rubber around the earphone. I decided to bin that set of earphones but did not want to pay 20 pound for some new ones. I got a new iPod for christmas ...
