Better than your average pair, but not without flaws

Advantages: Great sound quality, Isolates noise, Great bass
Disadvantages: Poor treble, Poor packaging

There are a few reasons why you might want noise-isolating earphones. The obvious is, of course, the "noise isolating" (although to be more accurate it should be noise-cancelling). Earphones like this sit in the ear canal and expand so that extraneous noise is blocked out (other types of noise-cancelling headphones use a microphone on the outside powered by batteries and, if you're interested in listening to music on the train or plane, that sort ...
...The other reason to use this type of earphone would be because they don't tend to fall out as much as traditional earbuds of the sort you get with an iPod. I for one can only use that sort of earphone with the small foam "sock" or something similar as I seem to have very strange ears! So if you find yourself constantly having to push earphones back in, or find the falling out while at the gym or on the bike, then this type might be worth looking ...

Review of Sennheiser CX 300

Sennheiser, affordable & sound great

Advantages: Sound great
Disadvantages: May feel cheap

What do you want in a good set of headphones, good sound, and a nice fit. Well these cover the nice fit, with extendable bands to match your head, and cusioned pads on the band so you dont feel any rubbing. The sound? that's covered too, these are over-ear headphones so they accomodate larger speakers, and much better base, than convensional in-ears, and the treble is just as good. Basically they sound great, especially when you consider the price ...
...expect to pay £60! The ear pads are just as comfortable too, cusioned as you'd expect but they also fit well so you get less sound seeping out, and more is contained to travel to your ears and noone elses, which also means you don't hear much from the outside, no annoying children on the bus, or the sound of tracks in the tube. They come with a handy carry case to stop annoying wire tangles and it protects the headphones very well. I will never ...

Review of Sennheiser PX200

Great Value headphones

Advantages: Rich sound & deep bass
Disadvantages: None really

I wanted to upgrade my pair of cheap in ear headphones to something which provided a deeper sound range & better bass but was still affordable. I did orginally look into the idea of buying tradional over the head ones but they seem to suffer with sound leakage issues which I wasn't keen on as I was mostly going to be using them in the office. So after considering a number of alternatives, I decided to opt for the CS 300-II's which I managed to purchase ...

They provide great sound clariety & a deep and reach base, as well as providing a noice cancelling function which is unusual in headphones of this price. They come with a set of different sized ear buds so you can choose the one which is most comfortable. For the money, I think these headphones are great value! ...

Review of Sennheiser CX 300-II Precision

Sennheiser RS130 comfortable to use.

Advantages: comfortable, supercomfy earpads, good volume control.
Disadvantages: volume & tune controls too close may get activated by just push.

Review of Sennheiser RS130

Quality for good value

Advantages: Sennheisers reputation
Disadvantages: No 45 degree headphone jack

...time. You might think Sennheiser equals expensive but that's not the case here, these headphones can purchased for less then 28 quid! I found mine on Amazon about 2 years ago & they cost me £15 then but that was on special offer (reduced from £25 as I recall). These are the can-style over ear phones with a connecting padded band that goes over the skull, they come in classic black and look pretty sleek but are strong & sturdy and not likely to break ...
...and their still going strong with no marks or scuffs either, these little blighters are very tough & durable!). They've got an obscenely long lead but come with a great plastic gizmo that allows you to wrap the excess wire around it, it also has a beltclip allowing you to secure it to your clothes on a belt or to a pocket. They are pretty big & chunky headphones but they aren't heavy at all, their comfortable to wear but can get a tad sweaty around ...
