The worlds best in ear headphones bar none
Advantages: Unsurpassed sound quality Disadvantages: the price , so dear , so excessive
...with the brand label - Shure inside you will find two extension leads Premium Fit Kit/Accessories Package: Three pairs of disposable black foam sleeves (S, M, L); three pairs of soft flex sleeves (S, M, L); one pair of triple flange sleeves; 3' (91cm) cable; premium carrying case; airline adapter; volume control; ¼" (6.5mm) adapter; wax guard. Optional accessories available for purchase with the SE420: 9" (23cm) cable; Push-To-Hear (PTH) accessory. ... ...the SE530PTH comes bundled with the PTH accessory. Of all the silicone foam bits the best were the silicone flange designed ones, only because I didn't have to squeeze them and mould them like an ear plug before inserting them into my ear.
The cables are very thick and sturdy - these wont self destruct as a lot of other brands do - however because of the weight you have to be care full when jogging.
If you do jog be warned as these isolate sound ...

Shure- have you heard of them
Advantages: Great sound isolation Disadvantages: may be over budget
...may not of heard of shure headphones, but in fact they're the unsung hero's of headphones, of professional quality and when you see the price you have to pay for an entry level pair, you may also think, for that money ill get the bose ones, or the bang and olufsen ones, a better name so better headphones right? wrong! firstly neither offers the same noice isolation as these their unique technology makes you oblivious to the world around you and the ... ...a better pair, maybe your tired of the tube/plane noise when your trying to listen to music and you don't want a large over-ear pair, or your tired of headphones breaking all the time because of their cheap build quality, all of these are solved with any shure headphone set. ...

Phones that make your tongue rattle with bass!
Advantages: Impeccable sound quality, great bass Disadvantages: May not fit your ear
...the decision of buying the Shure E102’s (I later bought the Shure E2’s, but that another story). I was attracted to these because of their interesting shape, and their price (the more money, the better I thought). So I bought them, for around 60 pounds. Got home and couldn’t wait to try them, so I spent ages trying all the different fittings that the set came with. Shure headphones all come with a range of materials that you can put in your ear, ... ...rubber sleeves, and the foam sleeves used for extreme noise cancellation. All come in 3 different sizes so whatever size ear you have, the headphones will fit nicely. When the music came on it was just amazing, there was no outside noise, and the bass was unbelievable. It’s nothing like those awful cheap headphones that just go dull and scratchy when you hit higher bass and volume, these were crystal clear. So as you can tell, sound quality is immaculate, ...

Shure e2c best headphones for ipods
Advantages: well designed, superb clarity Disadvantages: ?
I bought these earphones as a replacement for my ipod headphones which broke.
I bought these after trying out my friends pair and I was absolutely amazed.Sound quality wise the detail and definition that you have been missing while listening to your favourite tracks cannot be put into words.
The headphones are very well designed and are packaged in a small zip case which is handy for storing your headphones. When you first use the headphones they ... ...get a nice tight fit which is good if you are gonna use them in the gym.
You get loads of adaptors tor make them fit which is really good for isolating outside noise. I have tried similar headphoes and in my opinion best headphones you can buy under £50. ...

Shure SE110
Sound Isolating Earphones
~~Background~~
I have been meaning to buy some 'in ear' earphones for some time for use with my iPod, especially for use when going on walks or bike rides. I have headphones which are fine for home use, but find when outside, external noise spoils my enjoyment.
So I had a budget (less than £100) and I knew that I wanted in ear phones, and I did not want 'bass driven' earphones, as so many are.
I should explain ... ...that you go to the Shure website if you want more such as Transducer type, dB sensitivity, DC resistance etc:
www.shure.com
Frequency range: 22Hz - 17.5Hz
Weight 30gms (just over an ounce)
Oh yea, the 'jack' is gold plated which apparently is better fro sound travelling along conductors.
~~~Big tip~~~
Try in ear phones out before you buy, do not just get online, the difference in sound between brands is really quite remarkable.
~~~~Finally~~~~
