There are a few reasons why you might want noise-isolating earphones. The obvious is, of course, the "noise isolating" (although to be more accurate it should be noise-cancelling). Earphones like this sit in the ear canal and expand so that extraneous noise is blocked out (other types of noise-cancelling headphones use a microphone on the outside powered by batteries and, if you're interested in listening to music on the train or plane, that sort ... ...The other reason to use this type of earphone would be because they don't tend to fall out as much as traditional earbuds of the sort you get with an iPod. I for one can only use that sort of earphone with the small foam "sock" or something similar as I seem to have very strange ears! So if you find yourself constantly having to push earphones back in, or find the falling out while at the gym or on the bike, then this type might be worth looking ...

...I have used the included apple earphones that you get with the iPod for listening to my music on the computer and on the iPod. Out of all the earphones I have used, these are probably the best for sound quality. They have good bass and treble and all songs sound very, very clear. I liked the style of the earphones, with them being white, and they are incredibly comfy to use. They fitted in my ears very well, and even if i used them when i was walking ... ...anyyyyyy mp3 player or ipod or headphone port (apart from those is quite a few phones, where the port is smaller)
Although... after about 8 months of constant use, i noticed one of the earphones starting to cut out or get quieter when i tilted or moved my head. It was also starting to fall apart with the rubber around the earphone. I decided to bin that set of earphones but did not want to pay 20 pound for some new ones.

Wow. The only way I can describe using these headphones is to say that wearing them is like stepping into a very comfortable, almost entirely soundproof bubble, where you can sit back and relax in virtually any environment. I purchased these headphones mainly for using on the train to and from work, but I've ended up using them almost every time I listen to music/watch a film. As I mentioned above, they are extremely comfortable. The build quality ... ...cans feel soft, but durable. One thing worth mentioning here is the weight, or rather lack of weight! I have happily worn these headphones for hours (literally) without them feeling uncomfortable or heavy. When folded they are virtually un-noticeable in a bag - I carry mine with me everywhere! In fact I'm wearing them at the moment. As a tool for listening to music, I have yet to hear anything better whilst out and about in the real world. Sure, ...
