I am waiting for the fuppers with my electric box
Advantages: Takes dust out of the air Disadvantages: You still have to remove it from surfaces
...fancy stuff?
A: Nope, the Boots Ioniser is a plain and simple one. But you can get some that add perfume to the air (Handy, I think not) and some that remove carbon from the air. Only last time I checked I wasn’t allergic to all life on the surface of the planet but it wouldn’t surprise me to much!
Q: So it’s just a box you plug into an electrical socket?
A: Yup, it’s a white box 20cm x 10cm x 5cm with a little sticky out ... ...over an edge for it to do the business properly. It has a couple of LED’s on the top, one for power and one more intriguingly called “Ion Check”. Sounds like something off Star Trek but is actually useful. When my previous ioniser gave up the ghost I only discovered it for sure by the way it wasn’t trying to turn the side of my bedside table black. On this ioniser it checks it’s own efficiency and communicates this to ...

Gives your holes a damn good plugging.
Advantages: Eliminate most noise, comfortable. Disadvantages: Do not eliminate Irish mothers.
First things first: my deepest, sincerest apologies for the title. Blame Bnibbles, a man not at all afraid to capitalise on the power of innuendo.
Earplugs are, to be honest, not something I ever pictured myself writing a review about. They're quite dull and mundane things, really. They are essential though, if you're any of the following:
- an insomniac/a light sleeper;
- working night shifts;
- a bastion of middle-class calm next to a chav-ridden ... ...your mother. If this is so, well, I can't say I'm surprised but boy has she got some explaining to do.
Out of those four categories, I fall into 1 and 4 all the time, and 3 on one day of the year. I've never been great at sleeping and once a year the local Orangemen and their supporters like to don fancy dress and take to the streets. Now, I don't begrudge anyone a party but when the housing estate that backs onto my street have a massive bonfire, ...

Under pressure.
Advantages: Could save your life. Disadvantages: Could scare the beJesus out of you.
Pleas note, the model that I am reviewing is the 'new' model which looks slightly different from the picture featured.
I bought a blood pressure monitor today from Boots. I have to have six monthly blood checks because I have type 2 diabetes. No great shakes, only today when I went for the results the GP took my blood pressure and it was pretty high, which is unusual for me. I am not going to get into what hypertension is etc. that is for a different ... ...This is a review of the new blood pressure arm monitor by Boots.
Price:
Reduced from £29.99 to £14.99, I remember these a few years ago at plus £50, so that is the first bonus, plus of course points on the old Advantage card.
What is it?
Pretty much what is says on the box, which by the way is cardboard (good, recyclable) and not too fancy, in fact it looks distinctly 80's. It is a portable, battery operated blood pressure arm monitor that also ...

Watch out for the silent killer
Advantages: Very easy to use; Accurate (my doctor uses one); Saves trips to the clinic Disadvantages: Costs £90
...- Why this monitor? Boots currently produce two monitors - an upper arm monitor, and a wrist monitor, both costing £90. My dad currently owns the wrist monitor, which he bought recently for a self monitoring programme on the advice of his doctor. I am familiar with this model through using his when I am at home, and from at my local clinic, where the nurses use this very same one - which for me is a good indication of the accuracy and dependability ... ...oversized wristwatch, being made up of a large electronic display that is held onto your wrist with a Velcro strap (you can see a picture at http://www.wellbeing.com/shop/productdetails.jsp?productid=1017187). You strap the monitor onto your left wrist, hold your arm at heart level, then turn it on - the strap then inflates, as the old fashioned pump-up arm monitors used to, and the electronic bits and pieces take a reading. Once the band has deflated, ...

Snuggle Up With A SnuggleWrap
Advantages: Makes you feel lovely and warm. Disadvantages: None that where bad enough to have to mention here.
"*"*"* How I Got My SnuggleWrap "*"*"*" Ok, so its time to review my beloved SnuggleWrap. I got my Snugglewrap a while ago thanks to my wonderful mum. She bought both me and my sister one. On a day when she and my dad had been out shopping. She told me that she thought it would be a good idea for both of us to have one and that she was sure they would come in handy. I remember looking inside the bag that it was in and being delighted to see ... ...better time either because I had been moaning about how cold it had gotten recently and how walking into the sitting room was like walking into a igloo. Although that was a slight exaggeration.... ok, well maybe a big one lol! But it is still freezing at this time of year and the perfect reason to have one of these. "*"*"*" My First Impressions And Details About The Box etc "*"*"*" When my mum gave me the bag with the SnuggleWrap inside it. ...
