I am neither healthy or beautiful, except on the inside of course. I choose beauty products for simplicity and the lack of outrageous packaging. Give me an old tub of gunk any day instead of a contraption made of glass, plastic and six dead trees which needs a degree in astrophysics to open it.
But seriously. Let me put my op in perspective first. I use the following products.
Toothpaste (for the purpose god intended) Shaving foam (ditto) A wickedly sharp razor (for shaving) Aftere shavee face creme balme (which has many and various uses and is in fact so ubiquitous I carry it in my briefcase in case my car breaks down. What kind of uses did you THINK I meant !) Anti-dandruff shampoo (no, come back ...) Lavender essential oil.
And that's it. Oh yes. Soap. Durr. No I don't use deodorant, I just keep clean.
I will attempt to write ops on these products in order to generate a flood of male visitors to these fragrant parts, hence generating much income for us all.
Well really ladies and gents, what a con. I really do object to the packaging for a start. I know these twiddly bits are important for stopping loco-whizzozomoideins from escaping before they are slapped on but come on. How about some campaigns for less packaging and more environmentally aware products. That would be a start.
Secondly, 99% of synthetic smells are horrible. Really awful. I know that there are some wonderful scents around, but the rest are the pits. Worse than most armpits anyway.
What do I think of the categories.
Well it could be better divided down between men and women for a start. If we are talking reads, community and feedback here, then a section for men and women would be a good start. This could apply to the whole of Ciao. I don't advocate whole sections, perhaps a pre-selection of categories based on a preference (male, female, pink, teenage, families) which works on a matrix across categories. Leave the original categories too and you have a faster track for people to the opinions that they want.
Mind you, men don't seem well served. A few categories on shaving and that's about it.
Anyway, I too have picked up the gauntlet and made some constructives. Don't forget to rate I mean write.

I have found they could add alot more categories all over unless I am blind. I wanted to write about my computer and the only brand I see listed is apple which is not what I have.
