It's all in the wrist action. Advantages: Less time at the Doctors, handy, easy to operate. I bought it from Amazon.co.uk, for £30, about nine months ago as I had some vouchers at the time. I've always been a bit dubious of these types of gadgets and I did often wonder if they would be consistently reliable or not, what if it kept giving me the wrong readings that alone would probably put up my blood pressure. A great thermometer for peace of mind. Advantages: Very easy to get an accurate temperature. Disadvantages: Large and bulky ...not accurate. However, with the Braun 4520 which is an ear thermometer and not underarm thermometer, I can get a very accurate temperature within seconds. Although it is not the smallest or lightest of things, it is worth having because of its ease of use. A further advantage is the fact that the thermometer comes with replaceable covers so that it can be used for anyone. These are quite expensive, but I do not follow the advice of changing it for ... ...Overall I really do think that this is a good purchase for anyone who has children or has a need for checking temperatures often. the garmin forerunner 50 is a must have for runners!
