Doesn't Miss a Beat
Review of Polar F11 by emzlt

Advantages: Stylish and functional
Disadvantages: Let me get back to you on that one...

...one of the more expensive Polar watches, usually retailing for around £95, but if you look hard enough you can get a good deal. Included with the watch was a Polar WearLink coded transmitter, which is a more comfortable version than you get with other models (the F5 and F6), and the coding means that it doesn't cross-talk with other HRMs if you are doing a class, it will protect the information received from your heartrate without getting mixed up ...
...from there click 'create' - Polar will ask some questions based on your user info, and make recommendations as to how much exercise you should do and at what heart rate you should be working. You can choose how many sessions you want to do a week, and this is a great motivation for actually going - since I created my programme I have been going to the gym more often than my programme tells me, to make sure I reach all my goals for the week. Not just a watch it checks out your ticker too
Review of Polar F6 by Miskah

Advantages: helps you get the best exercise in the least time
Disadvantages: aren't enough functions for an athlete or a fitness junkie

The polar F6 is watch combining an ECG standard heart rate monitor (this means the accuracy is comparable with an ECG but it doesn’t provide the whole functionality of one. The unit will not detect irregular rhythms or other problems ). I guess a few of you are wondering what I am doing with one of these possibly unsightly things. I bought my first one a couple of years just after I was diagnosed as diabetic following pancreatic surgery. Diabetes ...
...and it was Ugly. The polar F6 is a great step up from that Overall basics The Polar 6 is a compact unit designed to be worn on the wrist and its going to cost you around £50. It comes in a choice of black, stone and pink and comes in a choice of male or female versions with the female version being smaller both in wrist size and in actual size and actually appears quite dainty It is a general purpose unit although Polar do make specialist units ... The simple way to monitor your exercise
Review of Polar F1 by youngbed

Advantages: Very easy to use (only one button), Clear display, Cheap, Ideal for beginers.
Disadvantages: No back light, No watch facilities.

...monitors for simple research purposes. Polar are the most well known manufacturer of heart rate monitors. Even though more and more companies are realising the commercial and health benefits of heart rate monitors, in my eyes polar still remain top. The F1 is one of the simplest heart rate monitors on the market. Costing around £25-30 it won't break the bank. Features: -------------------- The F1 has one button. This is slap bang on the front ...
...my training zones. The polar F1 is simple to use and ideal for beginners. As you become more advanced in your training you may wish to purchase one of the more expensive heart rate monitors. These have more features which allow you to further adapt your training and monitor it closer. I only found a few draw backs with this watch. There is no back light which means it's not easy to use in the dark. also when not in heart rate monitor mode, the watch ... Read review

Polar - Bare facts
Review of Polar M32 by trevorbrock

Advantages: Keeping your heart rate monitored is really easy
Disadvantages: Gym instructors think I'm time-watching!

The Polar M32 is one of many Polar heart monitors available to very keen sports people. They are useful, also, to us geriatrics who decide to exercise more than we used to, and are rightly anxious about whether or not our hearts are about to rebel at the sudden stresses being applied. They are also quite attractive to gadget freaks and those determined to persuade others that the daily trips to David Lloyd's are more than just a passing fad.! Each ...
...common with most of the Polar range, the monitor looks like a watch with a rectangular face. Mine is black and is fitted with a black rubbery strap, which is probably the best type of substance to combine both comfort and ease of cleaning. The result is that, from a distance, it is not too flash. Indeed most folk will not realise that it is anything other than a watch, and will not be tempted to stare at the wearer wondering why the old guy ( or ... Read review
