However, he insisted that it had improved no end, and that for our generation, (lovers of 80's music) it was excellent. So I decided, against my better judgement, to give it a go. I was very pleasantly surprised. As an avid Captial fan, I was getting a little sick of the adverts that they run. Heat ... ...The music comes thick and fast, with modern tunes interspersed with some of our golden oldie favourites. I have listened to it all day on Saturday and have only noticed one or two songs that I actively dislike, and even then, it can be fun to remind yourself why!
The DJ's can be a little naff, but even then they tend to keep their interference to a minimum, and hey, nobodys perfect.

The music comes thick and fast, with modern tunes interspersed with some of our golden oldie favourites. So, to conclude, put aside your misconceptions and doubts, forget Capital (sorry!) and tune in to Heart. I promise you won't be disappointed!
Advantages: much more diverse than many of the commercial stations Disadvantages: a little middle of the road for many of the younger generation, but i love it!
...i tend to opt for heart fm whenever i can. It offers a good mix of easy listening, modern pop music and old classics which doesn't make you tear you hair out having heard "im outta love" by anastacia for the 6th time that day. I particularly enjoy the love songs of a night, and although many are played regularly, they are absolute classics which demand another listen every time. If you're not into the nu metal craze, hip hop or r'n'b, then Heart ...

Heart fm, my local radio station... The one I wake up and then fall back asleep to. I was a tad surprised to find it on the net whilst doing one of my general pottering sessions around various sites.
I have to admit its a very well designed site. The purple background sets off everything else very well and the stability of the broadcast is fab (although it is ususally about 30seconds lagging behind the original one, yes I tested it!) The only thing ...

The radio station Heart Fm covers Leicester, Nottingham and Derby. In the car in the mornings, I listen to Heart Fm. They provide good entertainment and also play a bit of music. At around 8 o' clock they play the game Heart Breakfast Generation gap. This game involves a parent and their son or daughter and they go head to head and there own consequences. Each person gets one question with three possible answers. If they both get there question correct ... ...and they would win because they are closer. The winner gets a Heart 106 fridge magnet and a signed certificate. This is just one of the entertaining things about Heart FM. I highly recommend it. Although theyb do have a knack of playing the same songs over and over. ...

awful awful rubbish !! i now turn off normal radio staions if they play any of the 10 tunes that heart FM have !! they say more music variety!! they should be sued under the trades description act! i work nights and they used to have heart bloody fm on all the time soon a rebellion changed it to BRMB at least they have 20 tunes!! and terribly annoying DJs like Charley Jordan who always sound so happy at trotting out the same bilge!! ...
