Advantages: Portable, thermostatically controlled Disadvantages: Traps dust between fins so needs cleaning often
...run. I find my DeLonghi oil filled radiator cheaper than a gas fire to run and it keeps the room warm. In fact I have just bought a couple more as I have electric heating and it works out cheaper to run these. For anyone who doesn’t want to run central heating or who is trying cut heating bills the DeLonghi Electric Radiator is an excellent choice. It’s economical too. My total electricity bill for last month was just £17 (including hot water, and ... ...a rise of about 50% over the cold months. To me this is economical. The radiators are easy to move around as they are on castors which is a plus. The timer can be set to come on and off as you wish. I would recommend these to anyone who has fairly small rooms to heat, or who lives alone and doesn’t want to heat a whole house all the time. ...
Advantages: EASY TO TRANSPORT FROM ROOM TO ROOM Disadvantages: none
This is a very useful heater to have as it has carry handles so you can transport it from room to room very easily.It has two adjustable heat settings 1000watts and 2000 watts and an adjustable room thermstat which adjusts automatically.It is also free standing and comes in three different colours Chrome, Cream and Blue. The colour I like best is Chrome so that is the colour I went for as it went with most of my other furniture.The heater is very ...
Advantages: relatively cheap, little noise, instant warming Disadvantages: only 1 dial, slightly burning smell on starting
...heater. So I choose the Delonghi HS20/2 - a convection heater and I am not disappointed. I will be analysing the advantages and disadvantages of each of the above later on. BASICS The HS20/2 is a convection heater. This means that it works by having a coil in the centre which heats up. As the air is heated it gets less weight and rises, sucking in colder air from below. This results in a convection flow (if you remember your GCSCE physics!). ... ... CONCLUSION The Delonghi HS20/2 is a good convection heater. It makes a slight smell on start but I can't fault it otherwise. At a relatively cheap price it does what is expected to a good standard. I would recommend it to other people who wants to save a few pennies during this winter - provided you only want 1 room heated! [also on dooyoo.co.uk as ecolier] ...
Advantages: Heats up very quickly, affordable, portable and light. Disadvantages: Instructions are terrible and setting 6 is the only decent one.
Cheap.
This is probably what most people would think of this item when they first walk into an electrical store. God knows I did. However, at the time it was below 0 degrees and I was bloody freezing!
I recently moved into Student Housing, which actually despite what many people say did have a lovely heating system already built in. On this day I had gotten home early from university and was in my room freezing my assets off! The only problem is ... ...than them and for that reason turning the heating on early or jacking it up to full power felt rather selfish of me. The solution? Buy a little portable heater that I could quickly and easily blast my room with from time to time to stop old Jack Frost nipping at my toes.
After a quick trawl of the Internet to see which electrical stores were nearby I jumped in the car and headed to Comet, my main goal TO GET WARM.
This I realise and have known ...

Review of Delonghi HVE 134
Advantages: Size and heat output Disadvantages: Heat up time
The Delonghi TRN0505 is a small yet powerful heater. It is oil filled so it gives of a more uniform heat compared to a convector heater which uses exposed like heat bars. This little heater takes up hardly any room and it fills my front room with heat no problem. It is light weight and has carry handles either end. I do find that the cable could do with being a few feet longer. The heat up time can take a while so if you need instant heat then you ... ...from 1 - 6 (6 being hottest) and a big on off switch which glows red to let you know its on. The product specs are:
* 800w heat output
* Thermostat
* Anti frost protection
* Overheat safety thermostat and thermal cut out
* Neon indicator
* Wrap around cord storage
* Large carry handles
* 5 year guarantee
Basically because of this size it is a perfect stop gap between Autumn and Winter. With weather like we are having now which is ...
