Advantages Moisturises my hands

Disadvantages The colour

Freesia and wild strawberry hand cream

I always have hand cream in my car, bag and in the house because my hands can tend to suffer from dry skin.

INSIRATION…

I do like the description of this; it’s very “flowery” for a hand cream. The product is inspired by the freesia which is a symbol of sweetness, friendship and trust,, and it promises to recall the scents of summer strawberry picking afternoons! Quite a tall order for a cream in a plastic bottle.

THE BENEFITS?...

This apparently has the benefits of plant extracts, enriched with panthenol and shea butter to ensure strong nails.

PRODUCT AND PACKAGING…

The hand cream comes packaged in a rather pretty pale blue and pink box with pictures of freesia on the front and instructions and information on the back. The plastic bottleinside the box is the same colours and again has the instructions on the back of the tube, which makes me wonder why we needed the box.

I unscrew the lid and give the tube a bit of a squeeze to get out the cream. I was quite surprised to see that the cream is blue, and not a pale blue like the box but rather quite a vibrant blue; I was expecting white. The cream is nice and thick without being overly thick and has a pleasant floral smell although I cant smell the strawberry.

USING IT…

The hand cream should be massaged into hands and nails as often as needed. I use it several times a day and especially when my hands have been in water. It is absorbed easily into the skin and my hands quickly feel dry and not at all sticky or greasy.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY…

The RRP of this hand cream is £5 for 100ml but it is available online at various sites for half that, although watch out for the postage costs. It is available on several online sites and also in some chemists although I haven’t seen it very often, as I bought mine online.

VERDICT…

The hand cream is reasonably priced, lasts a good length of time and has made a difference to the feel of my hands as they have become softer and less dry. I also feel that my nails have become less brittle with the constant massaging of the cream into my nail beds. The only thing I wasn’t especially impressed with was the colour- I would far rather have had a white cream!

Recommended for dry hands

Thanks for reading
