...Ruby through to this book Heather the Violet fairy which is the last in the series.
Each is only 80 pages long and the text is large and simple. The idea of these books is to encourage reading and imagination, rather than actually be taxing and a word learning experience. I would say these are very much leisure reads as apposed to challenging.

My niece is a fairy and angels, and princesses obsessed permently pink tutued young lady who is convinced that she is magic and will turn into a proper fairy one day and beable to fly as soon as the pretty prince finds her on his magic flying horse, which he gives to her. And takes her away, apparently, to their huge palace in the skies with a swimming pool in every room and a candy floss machine which fills the halls with sugary clouds. This of course won't happen for a long time yet because 'he is still building it for her'... !?
Cover: Paperback, so very flimsy as with all the books in this range. However a bit of clear sticky back plastic (trying not to sound too much like a Blue Peter presenter, ) will do the job of making the books physical life last longer. Full colour fairy illustrations, and adorned with purple and silver glitter really appeals to the little girls and also catches the light in book stores to attract the attention of those who will be buying them for the little girls. aka, those of us with cheque books.
Story: The series of books tells the story of the Rainbow fairies. Each book concentrates on the background and adventure of one of the faires. Ranging from the first book in the series, Ruby through to this book Heather the Violet fairy which is the last in the series. Each is only 80 pages long and the text is large and simple. The idea of these books is to encourage reading and imagination, rather than actually be taxing and a word learning experience. I would say these are very much leisure reads as apposed to challenging.
The basic stroy line for this book is all about Heather, the last in the line up to be introduced from the rainbow fairies, but she has just as much glitter, fluffy clothes and sparkle dancing as all the rest, if not a bit more. Heather lives with the other fairies, in Fairyland. It is home to seven colorful sisters - The Rainbow Fairies! Their job is to keep Fairyland dazzling and bright. But in this book, evil Jack Frost sends them far away, and the sisters are in big trouble. If they don't return soon, Fairyland is doomed to be gray forever! The merry-go-round whisks Rachel and Kirsty away to a magical world. Could Heather the Violet Fairy have something to do with it? Help the girls find the last Rainbow Fairy, and bring the color back to Fairyland!
Hannah really likes these books even though she can read them in less than an hour as the vocabulary and set out is really straight forward as theres pictures on almost evry page and some have double pages with illustrations and only one sentence!
Overall a four star rating, absolutely adored by my niece and if any little girl you know is as passionate and obsessive about fairies as she is then this is a must. The perfect birthday or christmas present and only let down by the fact that if you were going to do this you would have to either buy the vey first in this series or the whole lot as could be confusing as the background ismore detailed in the first few books.
